You've purchased your new bike, you've equipped it like never before, and it's ready to hit the trails. But before that, the mountain biker's equipment is just as essential. Each sport (cross-country, enduro, all-mountain...) has its specific equipment

In cross-country, the equipment will be very similar to road bike clothing, while for DH (downhill) for example, it will be more like motocross and BMX racing. The pilot's equipment must be as resistant as possible to protect him as well as possible.

MTB technical clothing

Each element of the mountain biker outfit covers a specific need or function:

  • The helmet: this is the first element to choose carefully for obvious safety reasons. There are different helmets for each discipline, we will opt for a full face helmet for DH, while for Trail the helmet will be just a little longer on the edges and behind the head.
  • The jersey: close to the body or a little looser, it also depends on your sport, but also on your comfort.
  • MTB shorts or MTB pants: a matter of seasonality, in summer you will prefer shorts and in winter pants, but if you practice a downhill sport we advise you to opt for MTB pants whatever the weather. season, indeed it will protect you in case of a fall.
