Introducing the Shotgun Pro EVO , a unique system designed to grow with your child from 9 months to 5 years. This innovative bike seat combines two configurations into one, allowing you to ride safely and comfortably with your child across a wide age range.
The Pro EVO combines two seats in one: it starts in harness mode for children weighing between 9 and 15 kg (approximately 9 months to 2 years), then easily transforms into a Pro saddle for children weighing 12 to 27 kg (from 2 to 5 years). No need to change seats, your equipment evolves with your child.
Mounting and removing the seat takes just 15 seconds after initial installation. Two headset spacers are included so the seat can be easily installed on two different bikes.
This child seat is compatible with most standard mountain bikes as well as e-bikes with a wide down tube. It attaches to the fork steerer tube and seat post, ensuring no contact with the bike frame, preventing wear and damage.
The Shotgun Pro EVO allows for precise adjustment of the seat position and angle to perfectly fit your bike. This gives you unobstructed cockpit space, improved steering angle, and an optimal position for your child, without the risk of the seat touching the fork or frame.
The harness-mode seat features a secure Fidlock® buckle specifically designed for children, a 5-point harness, and a chest strap. Both seat configurations meet age-appropriate safety standards, ensuring peace of mind when out and about, even off-road.
Unlike most child seats that aren't compatible with modern mountain bikes, the Pro EVO is designed to integrate seamlessly with mountain bikes, with no steering restrictions, frame contact, or bulky adapters. This seat seamlessly integrates with your bike without interfering with your ride.
To install the Shotgun Pro EVO, make sure your bike has:
Pro Seat with Harness: Suitable for children weighing 9 to 15 kg (approximately 9 months to 2 years). It is recommended that the child be able to support their head before use. For children under one year old, consult a pediatrician before use.
Pro Saddle: Suitable for children from 12 to 27 kg (2 to 5 years). The child must be able to sit up unaided, understand simple instructions and remain awake during the ride.
The Shotgun Pro EVO fits most modern mountain bikes, whether muscle or electric, with a standard 1 1/8” steerer tube and at least 10mm of clearance under the stem.
Optional adapters are available for bikes with integrated housings that pass through the headset spacers, or for specific headsets like the Trek Knock Block.
The Pro EVO is not recommended for bikes without front suspension (road bikes, beach cruisers) due to the lack of space between the child's feet and the front wheel.
The Shotgun Pro handlebar is compatible with 31.8mm or 35mm diameters and stems up to 60mm wide.
The Shotgun Pro EVO meets EN 14344 and ASTM F3641 standards for front-mounted child seats on bicycles. It also undergoes independent TÜV quality control.
Q: Can I buy just the seat with harness to install on an older Pro saddle?
A: No, the Pro EVO incorporates a redesigned version called GEN 2 that allows for 2-in-1 functionality. Previous Pro models are not compatible with the harness seat.
Q: Can I buy the Pro EVO without the Pro handlebar?
A: No. The Pro handlebar is an integral part of the ASTM-certified kit. It is mandatory for safety.
