After the MTB flagship XTR had already set milestones and the Deore XT and SLX followed, the Deore M6100 completes Shimano 's 12-speed range. It is completed by the components of the M5100 and M4100 series, which will equip the 11 and 10 speed transmissions at the same level of quality.

Shimano Deore CN-M6100 chain

The Shimano Deore CN-M6100 chain ensures fast, precise and smooth shifting in both directions, even under maximum load, thanks to its precisely formed contact surfaces with the teeth of the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ chainring and the Hyperglide+ cassette. The SIL-TEC coated inner lugs also significantly increase durability.

Dynamic Chain Engagement+

Dynamic Chain Engagement+ is a special tooth profile that was developed for use on 1-speed chainring setups for XC, enduro and trail riding. It provides better chain guidance and thus enables quieter pedaling - even on rough terrain. Chain guidance of each tooth reduces wear on the entire profile.

Hyperglide+

Traditional Hyperglide technology provides smooth shifting with small shift ramps that guide the chain to the next higher sprocket. Hyperglide+ repeats this operation, but also applies it in reverse, to prevent the chain from falling off when downshifting. The result is smooth, consistent shifting in both directions with no jolts or wobble in pedaling cadence.

SIL-TEC

SIL-TEC is a superior, modern coating process that improves system performance through the use of embedded fluorine particles. SIL-TEC products are smoother and wear less in all conditions.
