The Corima Essentia 40 is the best all-road wheel for endurance road bikes or gravel bikes. Designed to make the boundary between road and gravel disappear, it is designed for hookless tubeless tires in order to benefit from maximum comfort thanks to wider sections and lower pressures. All-road, the best of both worlds

To combine the performance and lightness of a road wheel with the comfort and versatility of a gravel wheel, we have developed a carbon rim with a unique design.

Its 40 mm height and its lightness (1600 gr per pair) ensure it an irreproachable behavior on the asphalt, while its internal width of 23 mm without hook called "hookless", is designed to receive tubeless ready tires of a section between 28 and 50 mm, allowing you to adapt your choice of tires and pressure according to your desires and the terrain encountered. No longer fear degraded asphalt, gravel tracks or wet cobblestones, the Essentia 40 lets you set your own limits!

A hookless rim for more comfort

The Essentia 40 is developed for assembly with Tubeless tires which guarantee increased comfort, grip and better resistance to punctures. At CORIMA we have opted for hookless hookless technology: thanks to a straight inner profile, the rim is lighter and more versatile.

Without hooks, they are also more resistant and improve handling by allowing the tire to perfectly match the shape of the rim. Thus, the Essentia 40 is formidable on asphalt with sections of 28mm and also accepts gravel tires up to 50mm to face the most demanding surfaces.

Robustness and performance

To ensure even power distribution, optimal performance and increase its robustness, the Essentia 40 is equipped with our new Ratchet system based on 36 points of engagement with a 10 degree engagement angle.

We have introduced a mechanism inside our hub which is based on a notched crown system. The latter has been designed to handle higher levels of torque and thus guarantee exceptional reliability in the face of intensive use conditions on degraded surfaces.

The Made in CORIMA signature

High-performance, versatile and accessible, the Essentia 40 all-road wheels are made in France at our factory in Loriol-sur-Drôme. Rigidity and reliability are ensured by 24 stainless steel spokes arranged in a unique way, according to CORIMA-specific shelving, as well as by hubs specially developed to withstand gravel use.

The construction of the rim incorporates the best of our know-how: structural foam inside the rim, mastery and selection of the best 3k carbon fibers, while offering a clean and singular look as well as a quality / price ratio unique in the market.
