The Fizik Antares R1 Versus Evo Adaptive 2024 saddle represents the ultimate innovation in performance bicycle saddles. Featuring revolutionary 3D printed padding, a carbon-reinforced nylon shell and extremely stiff carbon rails, it delivers an exceptional cycling experience. This product embodies the perfect union between cutting-edge technology and ergonomic design.

Padding 3D Printing

The evolution of 3D printing has made it possible to develop a saddle without the constraints imposed by traditional production methods. The adaptive cushioning is manufactured by Carbon using its revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) technology. This additive manufacturing process uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, high resolution, and superior surface finish.

Custom Zonal Upholstery

Using Carbon technology, bio-mechanists and engineers can design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, adjusting each one individually for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional areas is designed with distinct cushioning and mechanical response, combined progressively and seamlessly within the same cushioning.

Tested in the laboratory and on the road

Professional and amateur cyclists have been tested both in fizik laboratories and on the road. Each phase of development has been carefully tested. Much effort has been devoted to understanding how pressure patterns change across different bike geometries, riding positions and riding styles.

From Idea to Large-Scale Production

With this unique combination of processes and materials, we were able to develop a product five times faster, creating and field testing hundreds of iterations. This technology, applicable to mass production, completely overhauls the traditional manufacturing process, speeding up and skipping all intermediate phases.

Sustainable Performance

The saddle is very easy to clean. Even with the most stubborn road dirt, you just need to rinse it off with water. Everything that goes in, goes out. We have subjected it to the most severe tests, simulating accelerated aging, UV conditions and wear resistance according to strict protocols.
