The new Áspero-5 is advertised as being 37 watts faster than its predecessor and 34 watts faster than its closest competitor. Despite this significant aerodynamic optimization, it's 66g lighter than the previous generation. The Cervélo Áspero-5 Frameset 2027 is based on a carbon frame developed for gravel racing. Cervélo applies its aerodynamic expertise from road cycling, triathlon, and time trials to offer a fast and efficient platform for modern gravel courses.

A base designed to win races

The Áspero-5 was designed with one goal in mind: to go fast. Its design prioritizes aerodynamics, efficiency and integration, while retaining the ability to withstand the stresses of competitive gravel riding.

37 watts gained compared to the previous generation

The new Áspero-5 is advertised as being 37 watts faster than the previous model. This gain results from extensive work on the frame shape, cockpit, and overall integration.

66g lighter

Despite the addition of surfaces designed to improve aerodynamics, this new generation is announced as being 66g lighter than its predecessor. The frame thus retains excellent responsiveness for acceleration, sprints, and long distances.

Integrated storage in the diagonal tube

The frameset incorporates a storage system in the downtube, inspired by the Cervélo P-Series. It allows you to carry an inner tube, tools or a repair kit directly inside the frame, in a clean, discreet and aerodynamic way.

The frameset comes with a Cervélo All-Carbon Tapered Áspero-5 Fork. It contributes to precise handling, front-end stiffness, and bike stability on fast or technical terrain.

Tire clearance up to 45 mm

The Áspero-5 offers clearance to accommodate tires up to 45 mm, in order to adapt the setup to fast, rough, rolling or more challenging courses.

Optimized geometry for matching or contrasting tires

With tires of the same width, for example 42 mm front and rear, the Áspero-5 offers stable, precise, and confidence-inspiring handling. Cervélo has also optimized the geometry for a setup with a 4 mm difference between the front and rear tires, for example 40 mm front and 44 mm rear, to improve aerodynamics and maneuverability on less technical courses.

Cockpit

Cervélo HB16 carbon handlebar

The frameset comes with the Cervélo HB16 Carbon handlebar, with 31.8 mm clamping. This handlebar contributes to the bike's aerodynamic performance while offering an efficient cockpit for fast gravel riding.

Cervelo ST31 carbon stem

The Cervélo ST31 Carbon stem completes the cockpit integration. The handlebar and stem combination contributes to an aerodynamic saving of nearly 6 watts on the new Áspero-5.
