The Bikone BSA Road Ceramic Aero UAE bottom bracket for Shimano represents the culmination of the collaboration between Bikone and UAE Team Emirates. Designed for demanding road cyclists, it has a clear objective: to reduce every source of energy loss in order to transform every pedal stroke into real speed on the road.

This new 2026 version features a completely redesigned bottom bracket that is lighter, more aerodynamic, and even smoother. Thanks to its hybrid ceramic bearings and smooth aerodynamic cup, this bottom bracket delivers more efficient rotation and reduced aerodynamic drag, maximizing marginal gains at high speeds.

Aerodynamic design and performance gains

The Aero cup is completely smooth on the outside, with no visible notches. The mounting notches are integrated on the inside, which minimizes airflow disruption around the bottom bracket. This clean integration improves the bike's aerodynamics and reduces drag in an often overlooked but crucial area.

Weighing just 77 grams, this case is 17 grams lighter than the previous generation. Every shape and surface has been optimized to eliminate unnecessary material while maintaining maximum rigidity and reliability, to meet the demands of competition.

Hybrid ceramic bearings

The bottom bracket shell is equipped with ABEC5/P5 – 2RS hybrid ceramic bearings, offering very low friction, excellent durability, and high resistance to contamination. Reduced friction allows for better power transmission, resulting in smoother and more efficient pedaling.

Axial seals and O-rings provide complete protection against water, dust and impurities, ensuring consistent performance over time, even under intensive use conditions.

Materials and durability

The cups are machined from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum with T6 heat treatment. This material offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for a reduction in mass without compromising strength or machining precision.

Compatibility and assembly

This bottom bracket is designed for road bikes equipped with a BSA threaded bottom bracket and Shimano cranksets with a 24mm axle. It is compatible with standard 68mm wide road frames.

The two tools needed for assembly are included, allowing for simple and precise installation, even with the Aero cup without external notches.
