Shimano Deore XT BL-M8100 brake lever

The Shimano Deore XT BL-M8100 brake lever has a clever feature: the lever clamp is angled, allowing the compensation reservoir to rest directly on the handlebars. This configuration creates two contact points that provide increased stiffness and more direct feedback, increasing stopping power. In addition, Shimano 's SERVOWAVE technology improves braking performance by allowing particularly precise metering. SERVO WAVE braking systems have faster reaction, higher power and shorter idle stroke.

The BL-M8100 is 10% stiffer than its predecessor, even at high temperatures. The gripping distance of the brake lever can be directly adjusted without additional tools. Additionally, thanks to the I-Spec EV construction, the Deore XT SL-M8100-I shifters can be mounted directly to the brake lever, providing a convenient solution for riders looking for an ergonomic setup.

The Shimano Deore XT BR-M8120 Postmount braking system, equipped with a 4-piston caliper, is ideal for trail and enduro practices. The rapid reset of the pistons contributes to a noticeable improvement in modulation behavior compared to the previous model, thus providing better braking control. N03A resin or N04C metal brake pads with Ice-Tech cooling fins, combined with a powerful 4-piston brake caliper, guarantee excellent deceleration. In addition, the 4-piston construction reduces brake disc vibration noise while increasing braking power by 10% compared to the BR-M8020 caliper.
