After the MTB flagship XTR had already set milestones and the Deore XT and SLX followed, the Deore M6100 completes Shimano 's 12-speed range. It is complemented by the components of the M5100 and M4100 series, which will equip the 11- and 10-speed drivetrains at the same quality level.

Situated in the entry-level price category, the current Shimano Deore groupsets are unwilling to compromise on performance, quality, and reliability. Shimano Deore CN-M6100 chain

The Shimano Deore CN-M6100 chain ensures fast, precise and smooth gear changes in both directions, even under maximum load, thanks to its precisely formed contact surfaces with the teeth of the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ chainring and the Hyperglide+ cassette. The SIL-TEC coated inner dropouts also significantly increase durability.

Dynamic Chain Engagement+

Dynamic Chain Engagement+ is a special tooth profile developed for use on single-speed chainring setups for XC, Enduro, and trail riding. It provides better chain guidance, enabling quieter pedaling even on rough terrain. Chain guidance on each tooth reduces wear on the entire profile.

Hyperglide+

Traditional Hyperglide technology ensures smooth shifting thanks to small shift ramps that guide the chain to the next higher sprocket. Hyperglide+ uses this technology but also applies it in the opposite direction to prevent the chain from falling when downshifting. The result is smooth, consistent shifting in both directions, without jerking or disrupting pedaling cadence.

SIL-TEC

SIL-TEC is a superior, modern coating process that improves system performance through the use of integrated fluorine particles. SIL-TEC products are smoother and wear less in all conditions.
