Granville Electric Bike Homologation Certificate
The Granville electric bike homologation certificate is an essential official document for every bike, detailing its technical specifications. It certifies that the bike complies with current standards and regulations. Without this certificate, the bike cannot legally circulate on public roads. Here are the typical pieces of information included in this document:
- Bike manufacturer
- Brand and model
- Year of production
- References to CE directives and current standards
Obtaining this certificate implies that the bike must meet strict safety criteria. For electric bikes, this means, in particular:
- Speed limited to 25 km/h
- Motor stops when pedaling stops
- Motor power not exceeding 0.25 kW
In France, all motorized vehicles, including electric bikes, must have a homologation certificate. This document is also required for insurance or to obtain the bike premium.
