The white Shimano S-PHYRE RC910 shoes represent the new generation of Shimano high-end road cycling shoes. Succeeding the RC903, they have been completely redesigned to improve comfort, foot support, and pedaling efficiency to the highest level.
Designed for the most demanding competitors and cyclists, the RC910 combines the new SHIMANO DYNALAST 2.0 fit, a repositioned BOA® Li2 dual closure system, a new carbon heel and the new SPD-SLR interface.
The RC910 adopts the new SHIMANO DYNALAST 2.0 . Shimano has notably reworked the front part of the shoe to offer more space at the toe area.
This new shape allows the toes to spread more naturally inside the shoe, with the aim of improving balance, stability and comfort , especially during long outings and prolonged efforts.
The new DYNALAST 2.0 last also focuses on instep support. The goal is to achieve a sufficiently precise fit to effectively support the foot without exerting excessive pressure that could compromise comfort or blood circulation.
The RC910s use a dual BOA® Li2 system allowing for precise micro-adjustments of the tightness.
Shimano has also changed the positioning of the BOA dials compared to the RC903 in order to improve the distribution of tightening, support and comfort during exertion.
The new S-PHYRE RC910 receives a redesigned and lower carbon heel compared to the RC903.
This development aims to improve comfort around the heel and reduce potential pressure points, while maintaining the level of stability needed for accelerations, sprints and high-intensity efforts.
The heel structure helps limit unwanted foot movement within the shoe. This provides the cyclist with precise support as power increases, without sacrificing the comfort needed over long distances.
The RC910 retains the competition positioning that characterizes the S-PHYRE range. Its carbon construction is designed to offer an extremely rigid and stable platform in order to efficiently transmit the power generated by the cyclist to the pedals.
With a Shimano stiffness rating of 12/12 , the RC910 sits at the top of Shimano road cycling range. It is particularly suited to cyclists looking for a very stiff shoe for sprints, accelerations, climbs, and competition.
The RC910 accompanies the arrival of the new generation of Shimano road components with the new SPD-SLR interface.
This system was developed to optimize the interface between the shoe, the cleat and the pedal and to bring the foot closer to the pedal axle.
To take full advantage of the new system, Shimano has simultaneously developed the new DURA-ACE PD-R9300 and ULTEGRA PD-R8200 pedals as well as a new generation of SPD-SLR cleats.
The RC910 + SPD-SLR cleat + compatible pedal set thus constitutes the new generation Shimano system designed to optimize stability and power transfer.
The RC910 is not simply an aesthetic evolution of the RC903. Shimano has reworked several important elements of its S-PHYRE shoe:
With DYNALAST 2.0, Shimano distinguishes several shoe shapes to better adapt to the morphology of the foot.
The new DYNALAST 2.0 offers in all cases more functional space at the front of the foot to allow the toes to spread more naturally.
The white Shimano S-PHYRE RC910 shoes represent an evolution of Shimano road racing shoe, focusing on both performance and comfort. The new DYNALAST 2.0 system provides greater freedom of movement in the forefoot, the new carbon heel enhances comfort, and the dual BOA® Li2 closure system ensures a particularly precise fit.
Combined with the new SPD-SLR system, they constitute the new S-PHYRE benchmark for cyclists seeking the highest level of stiffness, support and precision offered by Shimano .
