Your prescription lenses in a proper cycling frame, in a large size

Wearing your glasses under sunglasses, or riding in contact lenses for lack of anything better: many of our customers know the feeling. The Aerobeam Titanium RX XL solves it. It is a dual-lens sports frame in Grilamid TR90, mounted on titanium arms and supplied with its direct prescription adapters so that your optician can fit your prescription lenses, single vision or varifocal. The EZSwitch system then lets you change lenses quickly. This XL version stands out with larger lenses than the standard Aerobeam RX.

Aerobeam RX XL or standard Aerobeam?

Same frame, same 39 g weight, same titanium arms: the difference is in the lens size. The standard Aerobeam RX has 49.4 x 36.6 mm lenses, while the XL goes up to 51 x 41.6 mm. The extra 5 mm of height is valuable with varifocal lenses, which need room for the different vision zones, and for keeping the road sharp when you look up from a low position. We also steer riders with wide faces towards the XL (our advice).

LVR workshop tip

Scicon does not sell or fit prescription lenses: take the frame to your optician with your prescription. Scicon gives them precise instructions (lenses with spherical geometry, prism and vertex distance compensation beyond ±3.00 dioptres, decentration to apply according to the sign of the correction, centring check after fitting). While you wait for your lenses, the supplied smoke lenses already let you ride.

For care, clean the lenses with water and a microfibre cloth, and keep the spare parts in the pouch provided: the small adapters are quickly lost at the bottom of a bag.
