The RoadLink™ is optimized for use with 10- or 11-speed 11-36t and 11-40t cassettes and works great with Wolf Tooth's GC 40t cassette extenders and Drop-Stop chainrings. The RoadLink is optimized around Shimano road derailleurs. It works great for road, cyclo-cross, touring, transport and downhill bikes.

• Double chainrings are only supported with GS (medium cage) rear derailleurs. You may need to change the front gear so you don't exceed the capacity of the rear derailleurs.
• The RoadLink™ only mounts on standard derailleur hangers.
• The RoadLink™ is optimized for the geometry of the Shimano 10 and 11 speed road derailleur. It also works great with 9-speed road derailleurs. Traditional SRAM derailleurs work but not 1x specific X-HORIZON rear derailleurs. Derailleurs
• Campy work best with cassettes up to 11-36.
• SRAM 's Exact Actuation road shifters (10s and 11s) are interchangeable with their Exact Actuation mountain derailleurs - which can easily handle a 36 or 40 (and, for 1x, are available with a clutch) - and the CX1 will go even bigger with one ring. If you already have SRAM , they also make nice front-only brake levers that also match their rear shifters.
• Triple chainrings are not supported (medium cage rear derailleurs cannot accommodate such a wide range).

• This maximum dimension of 7.9mm is controlled by Shimano specifications, but a few derailleur hangers do not meet specifications. You can file the lower part of these derailleur hangers a bit to install the RoadLink™.
