For the rider from 155 to 175 cm who wants a well-equipped electric trekking bike that is easy to step over, for commuting and leisure rides. It will suit anyone who finds a straight-top-tube frame too high when getting on.
The Midstep: Allant+ 6 equipment with lower access. This Allant+ 6 Midstep takes all the mechanical components of the Allant+ 6 (Bosch Performance Line CX, Kiox 300 display, Mobie 34 fork, Shimano four-piston brakes) on a frame whose top tube is lowered. It is easier to get on than a straight-top-tube frame and stays stiffer than a Lowstep, a good compromise for small and medium-sized riders.
| Allant+ 6 Midstep | Allant+ 6 (straight top tube) | Allant+ 5 Lowstep | |
| Step-over | Lowered top tube | High top tube | Very open frame |
| Sizes available | S and M | M and L | L |
| Weight | 23.10 kg (M) | 23.30 kg (L) | 24.30 kg (M) |
| What it means | Easy access, high-end equipment | More stiffness, large sizes | Easiest access, simpler equipment |
In other words: with 545 Wh, this Allant+ 6 Midstep remains the most manoeuvrable in the series, ideal for commuting and half-day rides. Trek quotes 23.10 kg in size M for this model.
On a Midstep frame, the top tube slopes down towards the bottom bracket: you swing your leg over lower down, while keeping a stiffer structure than a Lowstep frame. The 545 Wh battery keeps the weight down, a real plus for a smaller rider who has to manoeuvre the bike when stationary.
The 170 mm cranks, 80 mm stem and 330 mm seatpost are shared by sizes S and M. The Kiox 300 display and the eBike Flow app let you track your rides and update the system, with the assistance still capped at 25 km/h.
| Model | Motor | Battery | Drivetrain | Weight |
| Allant+ 5 Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line CX | 545 or 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed 11-46 | 24.30 kg (M) |
| Allant+ 6 | Bosch Performance Line CX | 545 or 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 10-speed 11-48 | 23.30 kg (L) |
| Allant+ 6 Midstep | Bosch Performance Line CX | 545 or 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 10-speed 11-48 | 23.10 kg (M) |
| Allant+ FS 6 R10 | Bosch Performance Line CX | 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 10-speed 11-48 | 30.10 kg (S/M) |
Our take: with 545 Wh, this Allant+ 6 Midstep is the lightest in the series at 23.10 kg in M. The straight-top-tube frame starts at M; the even more open Allant+ 5 Lowstep only comes in L here.
