The 2026 Focus Atlas is designed for cyclists seeking a gravel bike capable of handling both long rides and challenging routes. Built to start your adventure at the crack of dawn, it boasts a range of features designed for autonomy, versatility, and carrying capacity. All the necessary mounting points for travel accessories are integrated, allowing you to adapt the bike to the load you're carrying or the riding conditions.
Rated for a total weight of 135 kg, the Atlas accommodates a wide range of luggage configurations, going far beyond simple additional racks. On the 8 series, the downtube integrates an internal anti-vibration compartment, the Prep Pocket. This offers a hermetically sealed space, secured by a lever, designed to hold a snack, an inner tube, or the dedicated Prep Pack bag, which can hold tools, a cartridge, or tire levers. The inside of the lid allows for securing items with a strap, while a special screw prevents the bag from slipping. A second bag can also be stored in the cavity; only one is supplied as standard (part number 551000300).
Additional carrying capacity can be extended with the Hawaii Rack, factory-fitted on the Atlas 6.8 EQP. It remains compatible with all new Atlas models (excluding the first generation) and offers a maximum capacity of 5 kg for various items. This accessory is available under part number 890005600. The Adventure Rack, on the other hand, remains compatible with the entire range and allows panniers to be attached on either side using three straps per side, maintaining a low center of gravity and optimizing carrying capacity. It can be purchased under part number 890003900.
Like the previous EQP model, the Atlas 6.8 EQP comes with a rear rack that can be fitted to all Atlas 6 series bikes (part number 890003100), as well as mudguards. Several mudguard versions are available, with or without pre-installed lighting cables, and in variants adapted for single or double chainring drivetrains.
The frame geometry has been revised to provide a sportier feel, while maintaining a clear distinction between the 6. and 8. series. The 6. series is more agile thanks to a shorter wheelbase that improves propulsion and maneuverability. Increased fork offset and reduced trail provide sharp, responsive steering, complemented by a lower stack height and a shorter seat tube that allow for greater seatpost extension and increased comfort.
The 8 series also evolves towards greater agility with a steeper head angle, a shorter trail, and an even shorter wheelbase. The lower stack promotes a more upright, sport-oriented riding position, while the slightly shorter seat tube improves seatpost compliance for enhanced overall comfort.
All Atlas models are tubeless compatible and come with 45mm wide tires. Converting to tubeless simply requires removing the inner tubes, installing the valves, and adding sealant. The Atlas 8.9 comes pre-installed in this configuration, without tubes, with valves already fitted and sealant applied. Fork clearance is 53mm, while the maximum accepted rear tire width is 48mm for the 6 series and 45mm for the 8 series.
The polished welds of the 6 series and the CIS stem with integrated cable routing, featured across the entire range, contribute to a particularly refined aesthetic. Each Atlas 8.9 also receives a hand-applied paint finish, giving each frame a unique character.
The new models abandon the Road Boost standard in favor of classic 12x100 and 12x142 mm axles, combined with a BSA bottom bracket, facilitating maintenance and component compatibility.
