The Goodyear x ZIPP XPLR Slick tire is part of an innovative gravel wheel and tire system, designed specifically for the unique Zipp 303 XPLR SW and S rims. This semi-slick gravel racing tire is optimized to deliver the wheel combination -fastest tire on smooth to moderately gravel surfaces, particularly in dry conditions.

Currently, most gravel wheel systems are slightly reinforced versions of those designed for road: light, stiff, narrow and aerodynamic. However, riding on gravel generates harmful vibrations that slow down and tire the rider over time. Additionally, traditional gravel tires often negate the aerodynamic benefits of narrow road rims. The Slick tire is designed to measure 40mm on the 303 XPLR rim, optimizing component dimensions to deliver the fastest installation on the market.

As well as offering unrivaled aerodynamic benefits for gravel riding, the resulting rim width helps reduce tire pressure, helping to filter out vibrations and save energy. The XPLR Slick is the most aerodynamic installation for the Zipp 303 XPLR SW and W wheels, ideal for smooth gravel racing in dry conditions. Its smooth center allows for rapid rolling, while the texture and grip blocks provide a certain stability in turns. Lightweight, flexible construction improves ride quality.

M:Wall reinforcements on the tire sidewalls provide protection against punctures and pinching, allowing minimal air pressure to be used. Finally, the tire bead size is designed to ensure easy mounting and secure retention on Zipp TSS rims. Only approved tires may be used on XPLR wheels.
