The wax film provides clean lubrication, reducing friction for smoother pedaling and a quieter drivetrain. In addition, it forms a non-greasy protective film which effectively repels dust and dirt, thus keeping your chain clean and dry.

For a first application or for an already lubricated and dirty chain, follow these steps:

• Degrease the chain with a suitable degreaser such as Zéfal Bike Degreaser.
• Thoroughly clean the chain to remove any grease, oil or particles using the Zéfal ZB Clean brush.
• Rinse and let the chain dry well.
• Shake the bottle of lubricant well before use, then apply it generously and evenly to the inside of the chain.
• Wait until the water in the product evaporates and the white color disappears. It is recommended to apply the product several hours before riding so that the chain is completely dry and the product is invisible.

For subsequent applications on a chain already lubricated with Extra Dry Wax, simply remove wax residue with a dry cloth and follow the protocol from step 3.

Don't forget to reapply after a wet ride or after cleaning the bike with a water jet.
