This is the cleat Look fits as standard with most of its Keo pedals, and for good reason: its 4.5° of angular freedom lets your foot find its natural alignment as you pedal, while keeping a precise connection. Whether you ride with a club, do sportives or ride for fitness, it's the most logical replacement cleat.
Grey suits the vast majority of riders. Red, with 9°, is for those with sensitive knees or a foot that clearly rotates during the pedal stroke; it offers more comfort but slightly less precision under load.
A worn grey cleat ends up adding play on top of its float and won't unclip cleanly: keep an eye on the pad rubber and the front of the cleat, the area that wears first when you walk. When replacing, copy the exact position of your old cleats so your setup stays the same.
