With 9° of possible rotation, the red Keo Grip is the most forgiving cleat in the Look range. It follows the natural movement of your foot instead of restricting it, which eases the strain on your knees during long days in the saddle or when getting back into cycling. It's also a good cleat for starting out on clipless pedals.
If you already ride grey cleats without any pain, there's no need to change. Red really comes into its own if you have knee discomfort, a foot that “searches” for its position, or for very long distances; the trade-off is that your foot moves a little more before it unclips.
More float is no substitute for a proper setup: align the cleat with the axis of your foot before tightening, then test it over a few kilometres and adjust if your heel brushes the crank. Keep a spare pair handy too, as cleats wear quickly if you walk a lot.
