The Megamo Jakar 20 dust 2027 is an aluminum gravel bike designed to move freely between asphalt, dirt roads, and gravel tracks. Its triple-butted 6061 aluminum frame combines hydroformed tubes with a full carbon fork, while the new internal cable routing provides a cleaner finish.
The Jakar range aims for a balance between performance, freedom, and reliability. Its balanced geometry promotes a comfortable and stable riding position for long days on the bike, whether the route takes you on roads, forest tracks, or more rugged terrain. The frame and fork accommodate tires up to 50 mm, allowing you to adapt the bike to different surfaces and conditions.
This Jakar 20 version features a Sram Apex Eagle 12-speed single-chainring drivetrain with a 40-tooth chainring and an 11-50 tooth cassette, Sram Apex 1 hydraulic disc brakes, Megamo Gravel GR 700 tubeless-ready wheels, and WTB Riddler 700x45 tires with tan sidewalls. Multiple mounting points also allow for the installation of racks, water bottles, panniers, and other accessories for bikepacking.
The Megamo Jakar 20 2027 is built on a triple-butted 6061 aluminum gravel frame. This construction aims to combine strength, lightness, and reliability for use on varied terrain and distances.
The frame uses Hydroformed technology to shape the tubes according to the specific constraints of each area of the bike.
The brake and drive cables run internally through the frame. Their direct internal routing reduces their exposure and contributes to a clean, integrated finish.
The frame uses a 12x142mm thru-axle.
The rear brake is mounted according to the Flat Mount standard.
The frame and fork accept tires up to 50 mm wide. This capacity allows you to adapt the setup according to the desired level of grip, comfort, and safety on uneven surfaces.
The Jakar incorporates several mounting points for racks, water bottles, panniers, and accessories. This allows the bike to be configured for a day trip, a weekend getaway, or a multi-day tour.
The Carbon Disc Fork is made of carbon. It helps to absorb vibrations encountered on rough roads, tracks and gravel paths.
The cable routing is integrated inside the fork to extend the clean finish of the frame.
The fork uses a 12x100 mm thru-axle.
The front brake caliper uses a Flat Mount mounting.
The FSA headset is designed for a tapered head tube from 1-1/8" to 1-1/2", with a reference number of 1.5 Tapered.
The drivetrain uses a 12-speed Sram Apex Eagle rear derailleur. This single-chainring configuration limits the number of shifters while offering a wide gear range.
The Sram Apex 1 Hydraulic Disc levers control the 12-speed single chainring drivetrain and hydraulic braking from the handlebars.
The Sram Eagle cassette offers an 11-50 tooth range. This range allows you to adapt your gearing to both the rolling sections and the climbs encountered on gravel routes.
The Sram Apex crankset features a 40-tooth steel chainring.
The Megamo Jakar 20 uses Sram Apex 1 Hydraulic Disc brake controls combined with a hydraulic braking system.
Both the frame and fork are compatible with Flat Mount standard brake calipers.
The bike is equipped with Megamo Gravel GR 700 wheels designed for the gravel format.
The wheels are TLR, meaning tubeless ready, and can accommodate a compatible tubeless setup.
The WTB Riddler tires have a size of 700x45. This section is suitable for use on a mix of road and unpaved surfaces.
The tires receive tan sidewalls.
The Megamo Specific Gravel HB FOV Compact handlebar adopts a compact format designed for gravel riding.
The cockpit is completed by a Megamo FOV stem.
The bike is fitted with a Megamo seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm.
The assembly is completed by a Selle Royal SRX Open saddle.
The Jakar is designed to transition seamlessly from asphalt to dirt roads and gravel tracks, without limiting its use to a single type of terrain. The aluminum frame, carbon fork, and 45mm tires create a build suited to mixed surfaces.
The balanced geometry of the Jakar range promotes a comfortable and stable position for extended rides on varied surfaces.
The integrated anchor points allow the Jakar 20 to be configured with different transport equipment depending on the duration and type of outing.
