Profile Design 26a Aerobar Extensions 400mm

The new range of extensions has evolved from their well proven T series. They have been designed to offer distinct fit options. They also adopted a new naming system where the name gives the angle and material of the extension. So, 26a is a 26° aluminum elbow. Discover this model of Profile Design 26a Aluminum Extensions :

Performance

• The sole purpose of the extensions is to provide a comfortable position for the rider's hands in relation to the arm rests. They improve performance by allowing the rider to relax in their optimal position. That's why they provide different fit options so that every rider can pursue their best performance.

Adjustment data

• The 26a extensions have a 26° angle for grip. The rider can choose to hold high for the contracted position or low for a more open, head-up position.
• The 26a offers a lateral offset of 7.5mm per side. This allows the rider to have their hands narrower or wider without angling the extensions to the point where the shift levers touch.

• Of course, they didn't forget the importance of aerodynamics - adding a Kamm shape to the uphill section.
• Finally, they added ergonomically shaped tips, making the grip more comfortable.

Origin

• Recent trends in aerobar adjustment have been toward higher hand positions, so they have increased height compared to previous generation extensions. They focused on the most popular angles from their previous line and added the 26a as a multi-position option.

Technical Guide

• All extensions have a diameter of 22.2mm in the clamping area. They are designed so that cables are routed through the back of the extensions and therefore have no cable exit holes.

For whom is this?

• The extensions fit any aerobar designed for 22.2mm. They can therefore be used by any cyclist wishing to improve the comfort of their aerobar grips.
