THE Cervélo S5 Red AXS five black 2027 is a very high-end carbon aerodynamic bike designed for pure speed, sprints, attacks, and fast races. A benchmark in the professional peloton, the S5 2027 pushes aerodynamic efficiency even further with a faster, lighter frame and a new Cervélo HB19 Carbon one-piece cockpit.
This new generation is announced as being 6.3 watts faster than its predecessor and 124 grams lighter. The main gains come from the front of the bike, with a deeper bayonet fork, an optimized head tube, and an integrated cockpit inspired by the iconic V-shaped stem of the S5, further improved to reduce drag.
In this Red AXS version, the Cervélo S5 receives an electronic transmission SRAM Red AXS E1 2x12 speed with power meter, Reserve 57TA / 64TA carbon wheels with hubs DT Swiss 180, tires Vittoria Corsa Pro TLR G2.0 in 700x29c, a case SRAM DUB Ceramic BBright and a saddle Fizik Arione R1 Light. A premium build, fast, lightweight and perfectly consistent with the racing DNA of the S5.
The Cervélo S5 2027 is designed to maximize speed on the road, whether racing, sprinting, attacking, or on rolling sections. It retains the stability, precision, and handling that the S5 is known for, while further improving its aerodynamic efficiency.
The new S5 is advertised as being 6.3 watts faster than its predecessor. The aerodynamic gains come mainly from the front of the bike, with a significantly redesigned fork, head tube, and cockpit.
Despite deeper profiles and increased surface area, the new S5 is claimed to be 124 grams lighter than the previous generation. Cervélo has optimized the carbon layup and components to improve the entire system.
The Cervélo All-Carbon Bayonet S5 Fork directly contributes to the bike's aerodynamic performance. Its deep, integrated design allows for better management of airflow at the front, a crucial area for reducing drag.
The S5 is a Cervélo benchmark in terms of aerodynamics. The frame shapes, bayonet fork, monobloc cockpit and wheel integration are designed to limit air resistance at high speed.
The fork legs and head tube have been significantly deepened to maximize aerodynamic gains. This optimized frontal area plays a major role in the overall performance of the new S5.
The integration of asymmetrical seat tube and rear wheel profiles contributes to aerodynamic gains. The goal is to promote smoother airflow around the frame/rear wheel assembly.
The Reserve 57TA front and 64TA rear wheels were co-developed by Reserve and Cervélo for the new S5. Their Turbulent Aero design is intended to work with the frame and optimize the overall performance of the bike.
The Cervélo S5 Red AXS is equipped with the Cervélo HB19 Carbon one-piece cockpit. It significantly contributes to the bike's aerodynamic gains, while providing very clean integration and a very high-end finish.
The HB19 handlebar uses the Plus-Four concept: the width at the hoods is 4 cm narrower than at the drops. This design allows for a more aerodynamic position at the hoods, while maintaining stability and control at the drops for descents and sprints.
Cervélo offers several cockpit size combinations to adapt the S5 to the rider's position. The goal is to maintain aerodynamic gains while ensuring a consistent and high-performance fit.
This version is equipped with electronic transmission SRAM Red AXS E1 12 speeds. Gear shifting is fast, precise and wireless, with premium ergonomics suited to fast races, accelerations and sustained efforts.
The crankset SRAM The Red AXS E1 50/37 tooth chainring offers an excellent balance between speed on flat terrain, efficiency on rolling sections, and effectiveness on hilly courses. It perfectly matches the racing and aerodynamic spirit of the Cervélo S5.
The crankset is equipped with a power sensor, ideal for tracking effort, structuring training and precisely analyzing performance in races and training.
The cassette SRAM Red E1 10-33 teeth 12 speeds offers a fast and efficient gear range, with a spacing adapted to sustained efforts, accelerations and race courses.
The front and rear derailleurs SRAM Red AXS E1 ensures fast, precise and reliable electronic gear changes, consistent with the very high-end level of the S5 Red AXS.
The levers SRAM Red AXS E1 provides electronic transmission control and hydraulic braking. Braking is powerful, progressive, and precise, suitable for high speeds, fast descents, and demanding races.
The discs SRAM Paceline X Center Lock offer high-end, consistent and efficient braking, in line with the level of requirement of the Cervélo S5 Red AXS.
The Cervélo S5 Red AXS 2027 is equipped with Reserve 57TA carbon wheels at the front and Reserve 64TA at the rear. This differentiated setup is designed to optimize speed, aerodynamics, and stability at high speeds.
The Reserve 57TA / 64TA wheels were co-developed by Reserve and Cervélo specifically for the new S5. The asymmetry of the rear wheel matches that of the seat tube to promote smoother airflow.
The wheels are mounted with hubs DT Swiss 180, a very high-end reference recognized for its fluidity, lightness and performance.
Reserve wheels are tubeless compatible, allowing you to optimize performance, comfort and puncture resistance depending on the chosen setup.
The tires Vittoria Corsa Pro TLR G2.0 in 700x29c offer excellent performance, high-performance grip and a modern section perfectly suited to the aerodynamic wheels of the S5.
The Cervélo SP34 Carbon seatpost is designed to integrate with the S5 frame and contribute to the overall aerodynamic performance of the bike.
The saddle Fizik Arione R1 Light provides a sporty, lightweight seat adapted for performance road riding, consistent with the racing positioning of the S5.
The bottom bracket SRAM DUB Ceramic BBright brings fluidity, efficiency and consistency to the transmission SRAM Red AXS E1.
