LOOK's entry-level pedal for riding in town

Tired original pedals, creaking bearings, a slippery platform? The Geo City is the simple way to bring back a good feel to a city bike, a hybrid or an everyday commuter. Its lightweight composite body offers a large contact area with grip moulded directly into the material. You get what has built LOOK's reputation in racing: a Chromoly+ axle and race-derived bearings, guaranteeing healthy rotation for years. All for just 330 g per pair, enough to lighten an urban bike often supplied with much heavier steel pedals.

Features

  • Composite body, pinless moulded grip
  • Chromoly+ axle
  • High-performance race-derived bearings
  • Weight: 165 g per pedal, 330 g per pair
  • Use: town, commuting, hybrid
  • Colour: Black
  • 2-year LOOK warranty, 3 years with online registration

Geo City or Geo City Grip?

The whole difference lies in the contact surface. The Geo City Grip adds replaceable Vibram inserts, grippier on wet ground, but weighs 100 g more per pedal. The Geo City, lighter and more affordable, is perfect for urban use in dry weather or for a family-shared bike. Note: it doesn't accept Activ Grip inserts, which are reserved for the Geo City Grip and the Trail Grip. If you often ride home after dark, the Geo City Vision adds removable lighting to each pedal.

LVR workshop tip

Before replacing your pedals, check the side carefully: the right one screws in clockwise, the left one anticlockwise. A little grease on the threads avoids nasty surprises when removing them years later. For a city bike that lives outdoors, a wipe with a cloth and a check for play in the pedal at every service are enough to keep it in shape. Can't decide between several models? Drop by the workshop and we'll help you choose based on your shoes and your journeys.
