The Zipp 303 Firecrest Tubular Disc Brake Wheelset features groundbreaking innovations for performance-minded riders. This wheelset was developed to meet the demands of our sponsored professional road and cyclocross racers and those who prefer tubulars for their undeniable performance. The 303 Firecrest Tubular Disc Brake Wheelset features cutting-edge technologies originally developed for Zipp 's top-of-the-line NSW wheels. Our ABLC™ Sawtooth™ dimple design extends to the entire rim edge. The rim structure has been improved for increased impact resistance. These innovations optimize wheels that have already proven themselves in two extremely demanding arenas: early-season classics and World Cup cyclocross. At the heart of the 303 Firecrest Tubular is the ZR1 DB, a versatile and robust new hub designed in Germany.
Advanced Boundary Layer Control (ABLC) refers to the instantly recognizable patented pattern found on all our carbon rims. ABLC, which attenuates airflow across the rim surface, is tailored to every model, from the 202 to the Super-9. The third generation of ABLC offers four times more footprints than before.
Total System Efficiency
AeroBalance™ simultaneously reduces both aerodynamic drag and side force
The XDR™ driver body is a universal mounting system for cassettes that incorporates cogs with fewer than 11 teeth. It allows for lighter and more versatile drivetrains without requiring new rear axle standards, cassette tools or hub redesigns. The XDR™ interface is 1.85mm longer than XD™ and is designed for road hub applications. XDR™ driver bodies are compatible with all XD™ cassettes when the cassette is installed with a 1.85mm spacer.
Zipp wheels, handlebars, stems, and seatposts are guaranteed for life against damage that occurs while riding. The lifetime warranty is not transferable. Proof of purchase is required.
