The Trek Verve+ 1 LT Lowstep in Viper Red, a bright glossy red, focuses on lightness: 18.90 kg in size M according to Trek. Who is it for?

The Verve+ 1 LT Lowstep, the lightweight Verve+. Here, there is no mid-drive motor: the assistance comes from a Hyena motor housed in the rear wheel hub, backed up by a torque sensor in the bottom bracket that measures the force of each pedal stroke. The Alpha Gold aluminium step-through frame hides a 250 Wh battery; the whole bike comes down to 18.90 kg in M according to Trek.

In other words: the Verve+ 1 LT Lowstep is the easiest Verve+ to carry, store and handle. Its 40 Nm hub motor and 250 Wh battery suit urban journeys and rides on gently rolling terrain.

With a 250 Wh battery, charging is quick and the battery is light; it is aimed at short to medium rides. We don't give a range figure: it depends on the mode, terrain and wind. Charge it at room temperature and avoid leaving it empty.

The 8-speed Shimano Acera drivetrain and its 11-40 cassette cover both pulling away and long straights. The Formula front hub and Bontrager Connection double-wall rims make for simple, robust wheels that are easy to maintain.
