All the torque of the PX in a lighter Charter+. On this Charter+ 5 R10, the Alpha Platinum Lowstep frame houses the 90 Nm Bosch Performance Line PX motor and a 540 Wh PowerTube. The Mobie 34 fork is adjusted with a pump, the sprung seatpost firms up or softens according to your weight, and the Shimano MT420 brakes work on a large 203 mm rotor.

Our take: with identical comfort equipment, this R10 540 Wh weighs 0.90 kg less than the R10 800 Wh. The R9 540 Wh Lowstep (30.80 kg in M) has neither an air fork nor an adjustable seatpost.

LVR sizing advice

You get onto the Lowstep frame from the front, without lifting your leg: the size is chosen mainly on saddle height and reach. Trek's ranges overlap between M and L (170 to 173 cm); in that case, the smaller size gives a more upright position and the larger one more room for long rides. The height-adjustable stem then fine-tunes the position.
