Who is it for?

For the student or young professional who parks their bike on the street and prefers a model that doesn't draw attention. It's also for those who want neither to maintain a chain nor adjust a derailleur, and whose route stays in town or the immediate suburbs.

The Gates belt: the drivetrain you forget about. On this Inbound+ 2 B, there's no chain and no derailleur: a toothed Gates Sidetrack belt links a 60-tooth chainring to a 22-tooth sprocket. It never needs greasing, doesn't rust, won't stain your trousers and runs silently. The Alpha Smooth aluminium frame, with its horizontal top tube, routes the cables internally for a clean look.

In short: the Inbound+ 2 B is the simplest and lightest straight-frame version in the range, 20.70 kg in L. A single speed, a maintenance-free belt and the Bosch motor in the rear wheel: it's aimed at town and its surroundings rather than big climbs.

The battery locks into the frame with a key and comes out in seconds: you take it up to the flat to charge it and leave the bike in the garage or courtyard. Parked on the street, it stays locked to the frame. You'll still need a good D-lock, and theft insurance is worth considering, a sensible habit for any e-bike in town.

The Gates belt isn't bothered by rain or salt: no rust, no squeaky dry chain after a winter outdoors. The assistance, limited to 25 km/h, is controlled from the Bosch Purion 200 control, within thumb's reach. The Shimano hydraulic brakes with 180 mm rotors keep a consistent bite in wet weather, where rim brake pads would fade.

Our take: the same bike as the beige and green versions, this black is chosen for its discretion. Compared with the Inbound+ 2 R10 (22.60 kg in L, 600 Wh, 10 speeds), it weighs 1.90 kg less but offers only one gear and 360 Wh.

LVR sizing advice

The straight frame starts at size M (155 to 173 cm). Between two sizes, the M with its 70 mm stem gives a more upright position, very comfortable in town; the L and XL move to a 110 mm stem for a slightly more stretched-out position.
