THE Amflow PR Carbon Pro adopts the architecture of the PR Carbon — carbon frame, adjustable geometry and above removable 800 Wh battery — by strengthening the points that matter most on the field: a more powerful engine, more downhill-oriented braking, and a standard fast charger.
The PR Carbon Pro receives the engine Avinox M2S, capable of delivering 150 Nm maximum torque (compared to 125 Nm on the PR Carbon), brakes Magura Gustav Pro instead of the Tektro of the standard model, and the Avinox 508W fast charger Included by default. Electronic transmission SRAM S1000 Eagle Transmission and the Mullet aluminum wheels remain identical to those of the PR Carbon: unlike the PX platform, moving upmarket on the PR does not change the transmission or rim material.
After trying it out at LVR Cycles, What impressed us about the PR Carbon Pro was its ability to remain easy to live with despite the extra powerThe engine remains progressive in use, and the braking Magura inspires significantly more confidence on long descents than the brakes of the standard model.
These three values describe three different characteristics of the bicycle. It is important not to confuse them.
|
150 Nm Maximum engine torque Newton-meters indicate the available rotational force. This torque reserve is useful on steep inclines and during acceleration. |
1500 W Peak engine power The watts here indicate the maximum instantaneous power of the Avinox M2S motor. They do not indicate the bike's range. |
800 Wh Battery energy capacity Watt-hours indicate the amount of energy the removable battery can store. |

This is the most important point to know before ordering: across its entire mountain bike range, Amflow runs significantly smaller than most other brands. This is not unique to the PR Carbon Pro: it is a characteristic of the entire range, including on the PR platform.
The most telling proof: Amflow does not offer a size S in mountain biking., simply because the M already plays this role. At the other end of the spectrum, we find a XXL — a size that exists almost nowhere else — precisely because the XL Amflow is actually equivalent to a standard L.
In practice, if you know your usual size with most brands, always count one size larger than Amflow:
| Your usual size (other brands) | Equivalent Amflow size |
|---|---|
| S | M |
| M | L |
| L | XL |
| XL | XXL |
The pilot size chart provided by Amflow (further down this page) remains your primary reference, along with your actual measurements. However, keep this difference in mind, especially if you fall between two sizes: in this case, We almost always recommend choosing the next size up..
If in doubt, contact LVR Cycles With your height, inseam, current bike and riding style, we can guide you precisely.

The PR Carbon Pro is aimed at the rider who likes the PR Carbon philosophy — Removable battery, long battery life and ease of use — but who wants more power in reserve on climbs and especially more reassuring braking on challenging descents.
This isn't a platform change: the drivetrain and wheels remain identical to the PR Carbon. The upgrades focus on the motor, suspension, tires, and especially the brakes. Magura Gustav Pro, more aggressive and more consistent on long descents than the Tektro of the standard model.
The engine Avinox M2S The one equipping the PR Carbon Pro is the same as that of the PX Carbon Pro: 130 Nm nominal torque, until 150 Nm maximum torque, and a power output that can reach up to 1500 W peak. This is a significantly higher reserve than the Avinox M2 motor of the standard PR Carbon (110/125 Nm), useful as soon as you need to restart on a steep slope or maintain strong assistance on a long climb.
As with the rest of the Avinox range, sensors and algorithms constantly adapt the assistance to pedaling rather than sending a constant torque to the wheel, with a Boost mode for the most demanding sections.
The PR Carbon Pro retains the removable Avinox RS800 800 Wh battery, It is held in place by a locking system (Battery Lock) and a sliding rail. It can be removed from the bike in seconds, without tools, to be recharged inside or replaced by a second battery for longer rides.
There is no single range that applies to all riders. With electric mountain biking, the number of kilometers can even be misleading: a short ride with a lot of elevation gain can consume more energy than a much longer ride on flat terrain.
Autonomy depends in particular on elevation gain, rider weight, assistance mode, rider power output, terrain, temperature, tire pressure, and Boost mode usage all affect performance..
For reference, Amflow advertises up to 158 km in Eco mode in its test protocol on flat roads with an 80 kg rider, based on the 800 Wh of the RS800 battery. This value should be considered as a standardized measurement and not as a promise of range in real mountain biking use.
This is a real difference compared to the standard PR Carbon: the PR Carbon Pro comes standard with the Avinox 508W / 12A fast charger, when the standard model receives a 168W/4A charger.
With the 800 Wh battery and the 508 W charger, Amflow announces a charging time of approximately 1 hour 36 minutes to go from 0 to 80%, And 2 hours 25 minutes for a full charge. With the 168W charger supplied with the standard model, expect more like 4 hours 38 minutes up to 80% And 6 hours 3 minutes for 100% — the Carbon Pro's fast charger therefore reduces charging time by approximately three times.
The PR Carbon Pro retains the same travel as the PR Carbon: 160 mm at the front And 150 mm at the rear, with a FOX 36 Performance fork with GRIP cartridge instead of the standard model's FOX AWL HD Sport, and a FOX Float X Performance shock absorber with 2-position lever in 210 × 55 mm.
The FOX 36 Performance is a more downhill-oriented fork than the AWL HD Sport, with a wider range of adjustments: this is a real advantage for more demanding Trail or All-Mountain use than on the standard model.
The basic recommendation is approximately 15 to 20% sag at the fork And 25 to 30% at the rear shock absorber.
SAG refers to the amount of suspension travel when the rider is seated on the bike in the riding position. Adjusting the sag setting to the rider's weight is essential for optimal suspension performance.
Unlike the PX platform, where the Pro version receives a transmission SRAM X0 superior, the PR Carbon Pro retains exactly the same electronic transmission SRAM S1000 Eagle Transmission as the standard PR Carbon, with the same control SRAM AXS Pod Controller and the same cassette SRAM XS-1270 10-52 teeth.
This isn't an oversight: on the PR platform, the Carbon Pro upgrade focuses on the motor, suspension, and brakes rather than the drivetrain. The S1000 remains a reliable wireless electronic drivetrain, with the SmoothShift function allowing gear changes even while coasting.
The PR Carbon Pro receives Magura Gustav Pro four-piston hydraulics, instead of the Tektro TKD173 of the standard model, with 203 mm discs at the front as well as at the rear.
In our opinion, this is the best reason to choose the Carbon Pro over the standard PR Carbon: on such a powerful bike, braking that remains constant over time on long descents makes a real difference in safety and confidence, even more so than the extra motor torque.
The PR Carbon Pro is fitted with tires Schwalbe Magic Mary Radial 29 × 2.5 at the front And Schwalbe Albert Radial 27.5 × 2.5 at the rear, instead of Maxxis Assegai / DHR II of the standard model. The wheels, however, remain identical: Amflow XMA-30 aluminum, with an internal width of 30 mm and Tubeless Ready compatibility.
The PR Carbon Pro features the same cockpit as the PR Carbon: 800mm aluminum Enduro handlebar with 40mm rise, Amflow Mountain Bike Split stem, Enduro Grip 2 lock-on grips and Amflow Mountain Saddle.
The Amflow telescopic seatpost also remains the same:
The bike is controlled from the same 2-inch Avinox color OLED screen, combined with left/right wireless controls and the Avinox Ride app (offline navigation, Locate/Apple Find My integration, heart rate tracking).
The Carbon Pro receives a more powerful motor (Avinox M2S, 150 Nm vs. 125 Nm), brakes Magura Gustav Pro instead of Tektro, a FOX Performance fork and shock more suited to downhill riding, tires Schwalbe instead of Maxxis, and the included 508W fast charger. The transmission SRAM The S1000 and the XMA-30 aluminum wheels remain identical on both versions.
Both share the Avinox M2S engine and brakes. Magura Gustav Pro. The PR Carbon Pro stands out for its removable 800 Wh battery (compared to an integrated 700 Wh battery on the PX Carbon Pro) and retains aluminum wheels and a drivetrain SRAM S1000, where the PX Carbon Pro moves upmarket with carbon wheels and a drivetrain SRAM X0.
Yes, slightly: approximately 23.1 to 23.4 kg depending on the size, compared to 22.6 to 22.9 kg for the standard model. The difference is due to the M2S motor and the brakes. Magura, heavier, the wheels remaining identical (aluminum) on both versions.
We tend to recommend the larger size when a rider is truly between sizes. Contact LVR Cycles using your height, inseam, current bike and riding style to validate this choice.
The PR Carbon Pro seemed to us to be the most balanced version of the PR platform: it retains everything that makes the PR Carbon appealing — the removable battery, the ease of use, the reliable electronic transmission — and it gives you more confidence as soon as the terrain gets tougher.
Braking Magura In our opinion, Gustav Pro is the most concrete argument in favor of Carbon Pro. On outings with a lot of negative elevation gain, the consistency of the braking at the end of the descent is felt much more than the extra engine torque.
The included fast charger is also appreciated on a daily basis: reducing charging time by three makes a real difference to the organization of a day out.
We would recommend the PR Carbon Pro to the rider who wants the versatility and range of the PR platform, but who rides on terrain challenging enough to want a more powerful motor and above all more reassuring braking than in the entry-level range.

Adjustable chainstay length from 440 to 452 mm depending on the chosen position from the 4 available. Geometry identical to that of the PR Carbon: both versions share the same frame.
The PR Carbon Pro is slightly heavier than the standard PR Carbon in each size (approximately 22.6 to 22.9 kg). This difference is due to the Avinox M2S motor and brakes. Magura Gustav Pro, heavier than the M2 and the Tektro of the standard model: unlike the PX platform, the wheels remain in aluminium on both versions of the PR, so no weight gain on this side.
The advertised weights are measured according to the Amflow protocol (mudguards, lights, pedals and frame protection film removed, wheels mounted tubeless) and may vary depending on the configuration, accessories and manufacturing tolerances.
A bike as complete as the PR Carbon Pro deserves more than just a comparison of technical specifications.
