Trek Wahoo 26 Path Dark Prismatic: a junior bike with grown-up style
Designed for young riders from 1.46 to 1.60 m, the Trek Wahoo 26 Path combines an Alpha Silver aluminium frame, an 8-speed microSHIFT Acolyte drivetrain and 2.00-inch Bontrager Connection Comp tyres. It weighs 10.20 kg according to Trek. Dark Prismatic is a dark grey with prismatic highlights, understated up close and from a distance.

Who is it for?
For the teenager who no longer wants a "kids' bike" and is after a more grown-up look. For all-round use: daily journeys, sporty road rides with their parents, outings on compacted paths.

Alpha Silver aluminium for the last bike before an adult one. The Wahoo 26 Path is the biggest in the family. Trek keeps the Alpha Silver alloy and alloy fork, but lengthens the cranks to 152 mm and the seatpost to 300 mm to keep up with fast-growing pre-teens.

In other words: the 26 Path weighs only 400 g more than the 24 Path, yet it fits young riders up to 1.60 m. It is the natural stepping stone to a first adult bike.
The 11-38 cassette and 28-tooth chainring offer an easy gear for hills and enough range to keep up with adults on the flat. The microSHIFT Acolyte derailleur is simple and robust, and its adjustment stays stable over time.
The 580 mm Bontrager handlebar and 50 mm stem give an upright, comfortable position with a good view of the traffic. For a young rider starting to ride alone in town, it is a real plus for safety.

Our take: the Wahoo 26 Path is the only Wahoo designed for riders over 1.50 m. For a child from 1.30 to 1.50 m who wants to ride trails, the Wahoo 24 Trail (10.50 kg) is the off-road alternative.
