The LEATT Velocity 4.0 MTB X-Flow Iriz goggle is available in the iriz white silver 50 vlt colorway. It pushes the boundaries of traditional goggles by combining the open-back feel of sunglasses with the full coverage expected of mountain biking goggles. Designed for warm rides where airflow is crucial, it's for demanding riders who refuse to compromise between protection and breathability.

Screen and optics

The RideViz MTB WideVision lens offers a generous 170° field of vision, ensuring unobstructed terrain reading. Rated bulletproof, it meets ANSI Z87.1-2015 and the MIL-DTL-43511D military ballistic impact standard, guaranteeing exceptional impact resistance. The Iriz mirror coating effectively reduces glare while blocking more visible light, with a VLT of 50%. A permanent anti-fog coating maintains visibility in all conditions, while a scratch-resistant finish preserves optical clarity over time. Additional Velocity lenses are available separately to adapt the goggles to varying light conditions.

Headband and comfort

The 50mm MaxiVent anti-slip mesh headband ensures a secure fit on the helmet without obstructing the vents, even when the goggles are pressed against the inner foam. The face foam is a minimal double-layered, moisture-wicking design, intended to replicate the lightweight, airy feel of sunglasses rather than the traditional wraparound of goggles. The streamlined shape reduces perceived bulk and enhances breathability on long rides. OTG (Over The Glasses) compatibility allows the goggles to be worn comfortably over prescription glasses.

Aeration

The Velocity 4.0 X-Flow's frame is completely open at the top and bottom, eliminating any physical barriers to airflow. The self-draining lower frame also wicks away accumulated dirt and moisture, preserving comfort during technical descents or in wet conditions. Combined with the wide MaxiVent headband, this design optimizes airflow through the helmet's vents and significantly reduces residual fogging.
