Ergon GD1 Evo MTB Grips

The world-class downhill grip is now even better! By collaborating with leading professionals like Rémy Métailler and Vali Höll, the GD1 has evolved to offer even more comfort and control on demanding terrain. The GD1 Evo offers more cushioning, better control and increased comfort for even more riding pleasure. Less gripping force is required thanks to its conical shape, super soft thumb area and new internal stop design. Ergon GD1 Evo grips are non-slip on carbon handlebars and available in two diameters.

Tapered handle design

The GD1 has a conical and tapered shape. The handle diameter gradually increases towards the end of the handle. This increases the cushioning properties towards the end of the grip while the internal diameter remains thin and responsive. The result is that you get the combined benefits of great comfort and total control on demanding trails.

Minimum effort – maximum grip

The anti-slip pattern, combined with the new super soft thumb area, provides maximum grip. Additionally, the new slim internal stop improves the ability to quickly position the hand and ensures full access to the gear shift levers. The overall design requires maximum control with less grip force.

Available in two sizes

The GD1 Evo is available in two diameters, standard and slim. Standard diameter is recommended for Large/X-Large glove sizes (8.5 to 10.5 inches - approximately 21.6 to 26.7 cm) or for riders who want increased cushioning. The Slim version is suitable for Small/Medium glove sizes (6.5 to 8.5 inches - approximately 16.5 to 21.6 cm) or riders who prefer grips with a smaller grip range.

The material used in Ergon grips meets the highest purity standards, is TÜV certified, durable and absolutely unique in the world of bicycle grips. The super soft, UV stable rubber compound of the GD1 EVO is developed and manufactured exclusively for Ergon in Germany. Ergonomics, product design and engineering – everything is made in Germany.

The GD Series' internal aluminum collar leaves ample room for controls and allows for a wide grip position. The strength of this clamping system prevents the handle from twisting, even on carbon handlebars.
