One helmet, two possibilities

The Targon offers a dual configuration: half-shell or full-face. This allows you to enjoy a well-ventilated and freer-moving helmet on the climb, then full protection with a chin guard for more challenging descents.

Design

Fullface modular construction

The ABUS Targon helmet can be used with or without a chin guard. In full-face mode, it provides extra protection for fast descents, demanding trails, and bike park sessions. In half-shell mode, it offers more freedom of movement and ventilation for climbs and longer rides.

Removable chin strap

The chin guard can be easily removed or attached thanks to the Speed Latch System™. It can be carried on the arm or handlebar during the climb, then put back in place before the descent.

Protection of the lower edges

The outer polycarbonate shell covers the lower edge of the helmet to limit scratches, impacts and signs of wear.

In-Mold Process

The In-Mold process involves directly injecting the inner EPS material into the outer polycarbonate shell. This construction results in a durable and robust assembly.

Injected carbon

The Targon uses a plastic material reinforced with carbon fibers, in order to provide great stability while maintaining a controlled weight.

Technologies

Speed Latch System™

The Speed Latch System™ allows for quick attachment of the chin guard to the helmet. The mechanism is designed for ease of use, without pinching or sudden movements.

Zoom™ Rapid Fit System

The Zoom™ Rapid Fit system allows for precise adjustment of the headset to the shape of the head using a dial connected to a nylon cable with a steel reinforcement. Pressing the dial returns it to its initial position.

Vario Pads

The Vario Pads cheek pads are adjustable to three positions. In full-face mode, they provide a firm, comfortable, and secure fit.

FIDLOCK magnetic closure

The FIDLOCK magnetic chin buckle allows for easy opening and closing, even with gloves.

Removable visor

The visor protects against the sun and branches. It can be detached in case of a fall to reduce strain on the neck.

Eyeglass holders

The helmet has a glasses holder at the front as well as a defined area under the visor to hold glasses securely when not being worn.

Sewn straps

The straps are sewn in place to optimize aerodynamics and eliminate the need for a strap divider. They stay securely in place and don't flap while riding.

Removable and washable padding

The comfort cushions can be removed, hand-washed or replaced if necessary, in order to maintain a good level of hygiene and comfort.
