Construction and materials

The Gravity 1.0 Jr's shell is made of a robust polymer composite, offering high impact resistance while maintaining a reasonable weight for young riders. The impact foam is molded directly into the shell to maximize energy absorption during a fall. A washable inner lining ensures optimal hygiene session after session.

360° Turbine Technology

At the heart of the Gravity 1.0 Jr is Leatt 's exclusive Turbine 360° technology. This 3-in-1 safety system combines impact foam with ingeniously positioned "turbine" discs inside the helmet. These discs allow the helmet to shift slightly on the head upon impact, helping to reduce the maximum acceleration transmitted to the head and brain. The system thus protects against low-speed impacts, high-speed impacts, and rotational forces—three types of stress commonly encountered in downhill mountain biking.

Ventilation

The vents on the Gravity 1.0 Jr are intentionally left uncovered by mesh, optimizing airflow through the helmet. This design promotes a direct and efficient airflow, making this helmet particularly comfortable to wear on hot days in the mountains or after long ski lift rides.

Comfort and fit

The visor is detachable and designed to reduce rotational impact forces in the event of a frontal fall.
