Unveiled in early 2026, the X-Venture is LOOK's adventure gravel pedal. The idea: one SPD-compatible clipless side and one flat side with moulded studs, so you can switch from a bikepacking trip in cleated shoes to an everyday journey in trainers. Supplied with the X-Easy cleat, which LOOK says is 30% easier to engage and releases in several directions, it gives confidence to riders new to clipless.

X-Venture or X-Venture+?

The X-Venture+ moves to an aluminium body with pins on the flat side, which bite harder, and saves 10 g per pedal. The X-Venture keeps a wider platform and softer moulded studs for everyday soles, as well as its integrated reflectors. Compared with the Geo Trekking, the hybrid concept is the same, but the Q-factor narrows to 53 mm versus 56 mm: your feet are closer to the bike's centreline, for a sportier position.

LVR workshop tip

Before setting off, take a quick look to see which side is facing up; after a few rides, your foot will find the clipless side by feel. Keep the tension at minimum while you get used to it. The X-Easy cleat wears faster than a standard cleat if you walk a lot: take a spare set on your cycle tours.
