Zéfal DT Armor Protection

Zéfal DT Armor protection constitutes a self-adhesive defensive barrier intended for the diagonal tube of your mountain bike. Thick and robust, it offers superior protection to classic transparent adhesive films such as Zéfal 's Skin Armor. With a high absorption capacity, it provides effective defense against impacts and stone projections, while reducing noise pollution. Highly durable, it resists water, scratches, friction, peeling, as well as UV and temperature variations.

This flexible protection is universal and compatible with all types of frames regardless of material, up to a width of 70 mm. It is ideal for cyclists keen to preserve their bike and maintain its resale value. For frames with large section tubes, the DT Armor XL model is available.

Installation Instructions

1. Prepare your workspace by turning the bike around for better accessibility.
2. Position the protection on the frame to anticipate possible cuts or adjustments.
3. Clean your hands.
4. Clean the frame with a suitable product, such as window cleaner.
5. Carefully peel off the adhesive protection.
6. Apply the protection to a central part of the frame.
7. Continue to apply the protection gradually along the frame, starting from the central part.
8. Attach the sides of the protection starting from the central part.
9. Use a soft cloth to remove air and ensure even adhesion of the protection.

Removal of protection

1. Do not use a hair dryer to heat the protection.
2. Gently peel off one end of the protection, making sure to detach the two constituent layers of the product.
3. Slowly pull on the protection, then roll it up on itself.
4. Continue until you have completely removed the protection.
5. If glue residue persists, clean it with a product such as white spirit (acetone-free).

Tips for use and maintenance

For better adaptation to the geometry of your bike or for use on an e-bike with integrated battery, you can cut the product. The latter is also washable with a low pressure jet.
