The Maxxis Assegai 27.5x2.50WT 3C MaxxGrip DoubleDown Tubeless Ready mountain bike tire combines the grippiest compound in the range with a reinforced casing designed for enduro racing. Its tread pattern provides consistent grip when the bike leans, as well as high traction when braking on loose, rocky, or uneven terrain.

The DoubleDown casing uses two 120 TPI plies and a butyl insert. It provides the support and protection of a downhill-like construction in a lighter package than a true DH casing.

The 27.5x2.50WT format is optimized for 35mm rims and is compatible with Tubeless Ready mounting.

DoubleDown Carcass

Two layers of 120 TPI casing wrap the tire. A butyl insert reinforces the area near the bead to improve lateral support and protection against impacts and pinch flats.

3C MaxxGrip Compound

The 3C MaxxGrip uses the softest Maxxis rubber compounds. It prioritizes grip, traction, and rebound control for aggressive riding.

Enduro Race Positioning

This version is designed for riders who ride fast on aggressive terrain and want more support than with an EXO or EXO+ casing.
