The Maxxis Assegai 29x2.50WT 3C MaxxGrip DoubleDown Tubeless Ready mountain bike tire is designed for enduro racing and terrain requiring a robust casing. It combines the consistent grip profile of the Assegai, the very soft 3C MaxxGrip compound, and a 120 TPI double-ply casing.

The DoubleDown technology also incorporates a butyl insert to reinforce the area near the beads. This construction aims to provide the support of a downhill tire in a package lighter than a true DH casing.

The 29x2.50WT section is optimized for a 35mm rim and is compatible with Tubeless Ready mounting.

DoubleDown

Two layers of 120 TPI casing increase impact resistance and lateral stability. The butyl insert provides additional reinforcement against pinch flats and rim impacts.

3C MaxxGrip

Soft rubber compounds maximize traction and offer a slow rebound suitable for aggressive cornering and technical surfaces.
