The Maxxis Assegai 27.5x2.50WT 3C MaxxTerra EXO+ Tubeless Ready mountain bike tire combines a high-grip tread pattern developed with Greg Minnaar and enhanced protection suited to demanding enduro riding. Its tread pattern is designed for predictable control whether the bike is upright, in transition, or at a steep angle.

The 3C MaxxTerra compound provides a balance between traction, rolling resistance, and wear. The 120 TPI casing improves deformation smoothness, while the EXO+ construction simultaneously reinforces the tread and sidewalls.

The 2.50-inch Wide Trail section is optimized for a 35mm internal rim width. The tire is Tubeless Ready compatible.

3C MaxxTerra Compound

This intermediate compound is softer than MaxxSpeed and rolls better than MaxxGrip. It is suitable for riders looking for high traction without opting for the softest compound in the range.

EXO+ Construction

EXO+ combines a bead-to-bead SilkShield layer with EXO protection along the sidewalls. According to Maxxis , this combination improves tread protection against punctures by 27%, sidewall durability by 51%, and pinch flat resistance by 28%.

120 TPI Carcass

The 120 TPI casing uses thinner and more numerous threads than the 60 TPI version. This allows the tire to precisely conform to the terrain's irregularities while working with EXO+ protection.
