THE Cervélo Áspero-5 Force AXS 1 five black 2027 is a carbon gravel bike designed for competition, built with a clear objective: to go faster on modern gravel courses. Developed using Cervélo's aerodynamic expertise, this new Áspero-5 boasts a 37-watt gain compared to the previous generation and 34 watts compared to its closest competitor.
Weighing 66g less than its predecessor despite more advanced aerodynamic work, the Áspero-5 retains Cervélo's racing DNA while gaining versatility. Its clearance allows for tires up to 45mm, while its geometry is optimized to work equally well with tires of the same width or with a different setup, for example, 40mm at the front and 44mm at the rear.
This Force AXS 1 version combines the Cervélo Áspero-5 frame with a single chainring drivetrain. SRAM Force AXS E1 with power meter, a rear derailleur SRAM X0 Eagle AXS T-Type, a 10-52 tooth cassette and Reserve carbon wheels 48 GR / 53 GR. A high-end, fast and efficient build, designed for gravel races, long distances and demanding terrain.
The Cervélo Áspero-5 2027 is designed for gravel performance. Its carbon frame benefits from advanced aerodynamic work, directly inspired by Cervélo's expertise acquired on road, triathlon and time trial bikes.
The new Áspero-5 is advertised as being 37 watts faster than the previous generation. Cervélo has optimized the frame shape, cockpit, and integration to reduce aerodynamic drag on fast gravel courses.
Despite the addition of surfaces designed to improve aerodynamics, the new Áspero-5 is 66g lighter than its predecessor. This optimization allows the bike to remain lively, responsive, and efficient during accelerations.
The frame incorporates a storage system in the downtube, inspired by the P-Series. This allows you to carry an inner tube, tools or a repair kit directly inside the frame, protected from the wind and without adding a bulky external bag.
The Cervélo All-Carbon Tapered Áspero-5 fork contributes to precise handling, front-end stiffness and overall bike efficiency on fast and technical terrain.
The Áspero-5 offers clearance to accommodate tires up to 45 mm, making it suitable for fast, rough or more challenging gravel courses.
The bike can be used with tires of the same width front and rear, for example 42 mm / 42 mm, for stable and confidence-inspiring handling. Cervélo has also optimized the geometry for a staggered setup with a 4 mm difference, for example 40 mm at the front and 44 mm at the rear, to improve aerodynamics and maneuverability on less technical trails.
The cockpit features a Cervélo HB16 carbon handlebar with 31.8 mm clamping. Its design contributes to the bike's aerodynamic efficiency and riding comfort over long distances.
The Cervélo ST31 Carbon stem completes the cockpit integration. The handlebar and stem combination contributes to nearly 6 watts of aerodynamic savings on the new Áspero-5.
This version is equipped with levers SRAM Force AXS E1 and a crankset SRAM Force 1 AXS E1 with aerodynamic 48-tooth chainring. The single chainring setup simplifies use, reduces gear changes, and is perfectly suited to performance-oriented gravel riding.
The crankset SRAM The Force 1 AXS E1 is equipped with a power sensor, an important asset for training, effort management and performance analysis during races.
The rear derailleur SRAM X0 Eagle AXS T-Type delivers precise, fast and reliable electronic gear shifting, with an architecture designed for modern wide-range transmissions.
The cassette SRAM The X0 Eagle T-Type 10-52 teeth offers a very wide range of gears, ideal for riding fast on the flat while maintaining gears suitable for steep climbs, long ascents and demanding gravel terrain.
The chain SRAM X0 Eagle T-Type completes the transmission and ensures optimal compatibility with the Eagle AXS T-Type group.
The levers SRAM Force AXS E1 ensures control of the hydraulic braking and electronic transmission. This system offers modern handling and excellent precision on both road and gravel.
The discs SRAM Paceline Center Lock provides powerful, progressive and reliable braking, suitable for fast descents, uneven terrain and long rides.
The Cervélo Áspero-5 Force AXS 1 is equipped with a Reserve 48 GR front wheel and a Reserve 53 GR rear wheel. This differentiated carbon build is designed to combine aerodynamics, performance, stability, and efficiency on fast gravel courses.
The wheels are equipped with hubs DT Swiss 350, renowned for their reliability, smoothness and ease of maintenance.
Reserve wheels are tubeless compatible, in order to optimize comfort, performance and puncture resistance on gravel terrain.
The bicycle is equipped with tires Vittoria Corsa Pro Control TLR G2.0 in 700 x 42c section. This choice offers an excellent balance between performance, grip and control on fast or uneven surfaces.
The Cervélo SP27 Carbon seatpost completes the integration of the bike and contributes to both comfort and overall performance.
The saddle Fizik Vento Argo X3 provides a sporty, stable position suitable for intense efforts and long distances.
The case SRAM DUB Wide Ceramic T47 BBright combines rigidity, reliability and ease of maintenance, a relevant choice for a competition gravel bike.
