THE Cervélo Áspero-5 GRX RX825 Di2 1 digital moss 2027 is a carbon gravel bike designed for competition, conceived for cyclists seeking maximum speed, precision, and efficiency on the most demanding courses. A true embodiment of Cervélo's aerodynamic expertise, it incorporates the DNA of the new Áspero-5, touted as the most aerodynamic gravel bike ever created by the brand.
This new generation is touted as being 37 watts faster than the previous Áspero-5 and 34 watts faster than its closest competitor. 66 grams lighter than its predecessor despite even more advanced aerodynamic work, it combines pure speed, advanced integration, and terrain versatility thanks to clearance for tires up to 45 mm.
In this version, the Cervélo Áspero-5 receives a transmission Shimano GRX RX825 Di2 1x12 speed, a cassette Shimano XTR 10-51 tooth cassette, a Wolf Tooth Aero 48 tooth chainring, a 4iiii Precision GEN3+ power meter, and a Reserve carbon wheel setup weighing 48g/53g. A high-end package, designed for gravel racing, long fast distances, and courses both smooth and rough.
The Cervélo Áspero-5 2027 was developed with one clear objective: to win gravel races. Its carbon frame benefits from over 30 years of Cervélo aerodynamic expertise and brings this mastery to the world of competitive gravel riding.
The new Áspero-5 is advertised as being 37 watts faster than its predecessor and 34 watts faster than its closest competitor. The frame design, integration, and cockpit improvements optimize aerodynamics while maintaining excellent control on varied terrain.
Despite an increased surface area to improve aerodynamic performance, this new generation is 66g lighter than its predecessor. The result is a lively, responsive bike that performs well both on accelerations and long, fast sections.
The Áspero-5 incorporates a storage system in the downtube, directly inspired by the Cervélo P-Series. Lightweight, discreet and aerodynamic, it allows you to carry an inner tube, tools and a repair kit inside the frame, protected from the wind.
The Cervélo All-Carbon Tapered Áspero Fork provides precision, front-end rigidity and stability, whether on rough roads, fast tracks or more technical trails.
The frame is designed to accept tires up to 45mm, in order to offer true versatility and adapt the bike to different terrain profiles, from fast gravel to more rugged terrain.
With tires of the same width, for example 42 mm front and rear, the handling remains stable, secure, and ready for challenging terrain. Cervélo has also optimized the geometry to work with a 4 mm difference between the front and rear tires, for example 40 mm / 44 mm, to further improve aerodynamics and maneuverability on less technical courses.
The Cervélo HB16 Carbon handlebar with 31.8 mm clamping is designed to complement the bike's aerodynamics. It contributes to front-end stiffness, steering precision, and overall performance on long rides and in competition.
The Cervélo ST31 Carbon stem completes the cockpit integration. The aerodynamic optimization of the handlebar/stem combination alone contributes to approximately 6 watts of power saving on the new Áspero-5.
This version receives an electronic transmission Shimano The GRX RX825 Di2 is specifically designed for demanding gravel riding and competition. It ensures fast, precise, and reliable gear changes, even in challenging conditions.
The crankset Shimano The GRX RX820 is paired with a Wolf Tooth Components Aero 48-tooth chainring for GRX. This single-chainring setup prioritizes simplicity, efficiency, and aerodynamics, while offering gearing suitable for fast gravel racing.
The bike is equipped with a single-sided 4iiii Precision GEN3+ power meter, a valuable asset for structured training, performance monitoring and effort management in competition.
The rear derailleur Shimano The GRX RX827 SGS is designed to withstand the stresses of gravel riding and work with a wide range of gears, while maintaining excellent shifting precision.
The cassette Shimano The XTR M9200 10-51 tooth 12-speed cassette offers a very wide gear range. It allows you to ride fast on rolling sections while maintaining gears suitable for steep gradients, long climbs, and rough terrain.
The chain Shimano M8100 ensures excellent compatibility with the 12-speed transmission and contributes to the overall smoothness of the group.
The levers Shimano The GRX RX825 handles both electronic transmission and hydraulic braking. This setup offers excellent ergonomics, precise control, and braking power suitable for both fast descents and more technical terrain.
The discs Shimano CL800 Center Lock guarantees powerful, progressive and consistent braking, even during intensive use or in difficult conditions.
The Cervélo Áspero-5 GRX RX825 Di2 1 is equipped with a Reserve 48 GR front wheel and a Reserve 53 GR rear wheel. This differentiated carbon build is designed to combine performance, aerodynamics, stability, and efficiency on fast gravel courses.
The wheels rest on hubs DT Swiss 350, renowned for their reliability, smoothness and ease of maintenance. At the rear, the freehub body is MS standard.
The wheels are tubeless compatible, allowing for lower pressure riding, improved comfort, traction and puncture resistance.
The original equipment includes tires Vittoria Corsa Pro Control TLR G2.0 in 700x42c, offering an excellent compromise between performance, grip and control on degraded roads and fast tracks.
The Cervélo SP27 Carbon seatpost contributes to comfort and vibration damping, while maintaining an excellent level of rigidity and performance.
The saddle Fizik Vento Argo X3 complements the sporty orientation of the bike with a seat adapted to long rides and a dynamic position.
The CeramicSpeed SL T47 BBright bottom bracket for 24mm axle optimizes rotational smoothness, rigidity and transmission efficiency.
