The 2026 Cervélo Aspero-5 Force AXS 1 Royal Mercury is the gravel bike designed to be at the front of the race. It's the most aerodynamic gravel bike ever created by Cervélo, a brand renowned for its aerodynamic expertise for 30 years.

This model impresses with its performance, being 37 Watts faster than the previous model and 34 Watts faster than its closest competitor. This technical advancement allows cyclists to save precious time, thanks in part to an aerodynamic handlebar and stem that alone represent nearly 6 Watts of energy savings.

The Áspero-5 is also designed for versatility. It offers clearance for tires up to 45mm, integrated downtube storage, and a threaded bottom bracket. Ready to ride straight out of the workshop, it's already proven in competition, having won the UCI Gravel World Championship with Marianne Vos.

Aerodynamics and weight

The bike is 66 grams lighter than its predecessor, despite an increased surface area to improve its aerodynamic performance. Its geometry has been designed to ensure stable and reassuring handling with tires of the same size (e.g. 42 mm front and rear), while allowing for aerodynamic refinement with a 4 mm difference in width between the front and rear (e.g. 40 mm front, 44 mm rear).

Built-in storage

For the first time on a gravel bike, Cervélo has integrated a storage system into the down tube, originally developed for its triathlon bikes. This lightweight and aerodynamic system allows you to carry your inner tube, tools, and repair kit, sheltered from the wind, directly inside the frame.
