The Cervélo P5 is a machine designed for one thing: helping you get from point A to point B as fast as possible. Equally capable in a triathlon as it is in a Tour de France time trial, the 2026 Cervélo P5 green clay frameset delivers exceptional performance. The last decade of road racing has demonstrated the importance of being able to deliver a solid time trial at the end of a Grand Tour, and the P5 was instrumental in Team Jumbo-Visma's victories at the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France in 2023. For this model, the goal was to make the fastest bike on the market even faster, including improvements to the wheels, position, and settings. It now offers clearance for a 34mm tire on wide wheels, improving both aerodynamics and reducing rolling resistance. The basebar has been lowered for better air penetration, while offering more adjustability with extensions adjustable between 0 and 30 degrees in five-millimeter increments. For triathletes, several storage options have been integrated, as a significant part of performance relies on the ability to ingest enough calories to sustain a marathon.
The one-piece front panel, introduced on the S5, facilitates assembly and adjustments. Height is adjustable up to 40 mm, while the basebar height is reduced by 10 mm to minimize frontal area. The risebar allows for tilt adjustment from 0 to 30 degrees, in 5-degree increments.
The P5's frame is about a watt more aerodynamic than its predecessor and can accommodate tires up to 34mm wide. This capability allows for the use of Reserve 77/88 wheels and 29mm Vittoria tires, which provide a saving of about 4 watts over the previous Reserve/ Vittoria setup, for a total saving of close to 5 watts.
The elbow rests and pads are wider, taller, and thicker than before, providing significantly improved comfort and increased confidence. A larger contact surface ensures better control, allowing you to maintain the aerodynamic position for longer.
The redesigned fastback seatstay reduces vertical stiffness by approximately 22%, while maintaining the lateral stiffness needed for optimal power transfer. While the time trial position is never very comfortable, this P5 will help you arrive fresher at the T2 transition.
