Heels brushing the cranks, knees tracking in towards the frame, a cramped feeling: a standard Q-factor doesn't suit every body shape. So LOOK has made its Keo Blade in a 56 mm version, for a slightly wider foot position, better stability and, according to the manufacturer, a more natural hip-knee-ankle alignment. Everything else is identical to the 53 mm version: retention blade, carbon body and 115 g on the scales.
53 mm remains the benchmark for most riders and it's the figure used on most pedals in the Keo range. 56 mm makes sense when your feet naturally point outwards, your hips are wide or your ankles touch the crank arms. LOOK recommends a bike fit to decide: come and talk to us in store in Béziers before choosing. Note that the Keo Blade Ceramic is also available in Q56; only the bearing type sets it apart from this model.
Switching to Q56 slightly changes your stance width: set up your cleats on the shoe again rather than blindly copying your old position. Also worth knowing: this 4th-generation Keo Blade accepts the Keo Vision lighting kit, which slots in place of the plate and turns it into an illuminated pedal without changing pedals.
