A leg that's slightly shorter than the other often makes your pelvis rock on the saddle. This flat spacer, fitted between the shoe and the Keo cleat, raises the foot in question by 1 mm. It's the smallest correction in the range, suitable for a slight difference.
The right choice depends on a measurement of your discrepancy, not an estimate based on feel. A small difference is often corrected with 1 mm; beyond that, you move to the 2 mm version or stack several, always on the advice of a specialist. Not to be confused with the 1.5 mm Keo Spacer, designed for flat soles.
Only fit one under the foot that needs it. Check that the bolts are still long enough once the shim is added, and have the correction validated during a bike fit.
