The Silk is the most responsive gravel bike in the Megamo range. With its long reach, low stack height, and short chainstays, its geometry is designed for powerful acceleration, effortless riding on rolling sections, and maintaining pace when the terrain gets rough. This size M model weighs in at 8.75 kg on our scales , a benchmark weight for a gravel bike equipped with 45mm tires and a power meter.

It's leaving our workshop in Béziers after a complete overhaul and replacement of wear parts. You're starting off on the right foot, with new tires, handlebar tape, and brake pads.

Upon its release, the Megamo Silk AXS 01 was offered at €5,999 with its SRAM AXS drivetrain and Quarq power meter crankset. This particular model retains this original build, with Corima Essentia 40 carbon wheels from the same range, new 45mm tires, and a complete service by our workshop. You get a competition-grade gravel bike at a price significantly lower than new, with no maintenance costs to worry about.

Frame and fork

Carbon fiber, 100% integrated cabling

The high-end carbon frame routes all cables and hoses internally, right up to the integrated handlebar and stem. The result is clean, aerodynamic, and easy to maintain on a daily basis.

A competitive geometry

Compared to the West, the brand's "adventure" gravel bike, the Silk adopts a more stretched-out and lower riding position, with shorter chainstays of 425 mm. The bike is responsive when accelerating and precise in corners.

Generous tire clearance

The frame accepts tires up to 45 mm, the width fitted to this bike. Inserts on the top tube allow for the attachment of a pannier for long rides.

SRAM AXS 1x12 drivetrain with power meter

A wireless "mullet" setup

The SRAM Rival AXS levers wirelessly control a SRAM GX Eagle T-Type AXS rear derailleur, mounted directly to the frame dropout. Shifting is crisp, even under load and in mud.

10-52 tooth cassette

The GX T-Type XS-1275 cassette offers a huge range: from 42x10 for long straightaways to 42x52 for the steepest ramps.

Quarq crankset with power meter

The SRAM Rival AXS crankset features a 42-tooth chainring and 172.5 mm crank arms. It integrates a Quarq power meter on the axle, ideal for training by watt or managing effort during long races.

Braking

SRAM Rival AXS hydraulic disc brakes. The braking is powerful and easy to modulate, and it has been refurbished by our workshop with new pads front and rear.

Corima Essentia 40 carbon wheels

This bike has been fitted with Corima Essentia 40 carbon wheels, made in France at the Corima workshop in the Drôme region. The approximately 40mm deep rims are hookless and tubeless ready, designed for all-road and gravel riding. A high-quality French alternative to the original Zipp 303 S wheels.

Pirelli Cinturato Adventure 700x45 tubeless tires, new

The Cinturato Adventure is a versatile tire that rolls well on asphalt and grips well on trails. In a 45mm width and tubeless configuration, it offers comfort and traction, with a reduced risk of punctures.
