For the weekend explorer who links garrigue tracks, forest trails and country roads over a full day. It's aimed at riders from 165 to 203 cm who want a classic frame and the maximum energy reserve.
Big battery and classic frame for exploring. Here, the Alpha Platinum aluminium forms a standard frame, not a Lowstep, that you swing a leg over like a hybrid. Trek pairs it with the 800 Wh PowerTube with smart system, the 80 mm XCR32 fork and 2.40-inch Connection Elite tyres. The 720 mm flat bar gives you firm leverage to hold your line on stony tracks.

| What it means | Confident on tracks and trails | Road and greenways | More torque, stronger braking |
In short: the Charter+ 4 Trail 800 Wh is aimed at long mixed-terrain rides for medium to tall riders. Trek quotes 30.70 kg in size L, making it the longest-range Trail in the standard-frame range.
When the tramontane blows head-on across an exposed track, the electric assistance makes all the difference: the 75 Nm Bosch motor supports your effort up to 25 km/h, and the 800 Wh battery leaves a margin for the ride home. Don't count range in kilometres: wind, terrain and the mode you choose all make it vary.
On stony tracks, the 2.40-inch Connection Elite tyres benefit from slightly lower pressures than on the road, to widen the contact patch. Their reflective strip is still useful on the way home, when the ride ends at dusk on a country lane.
| Model | Motor / battery | Drivetrain | Fork | Weight (size) |
| Charter+ 4 Trail 540 Wh | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm / 540 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed | XCR32 80 mm | 26.80 kg (L) |
| Charter+ 4 Trail 800 Wh | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm / 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed | XCR32 80 mm | 30.70 kg (L) |
| Charter+ 4 Trail 800 Wh Lowstep | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm / 800 Wh | Shimano CUES 9-speed | XCR32 80 mm | 31.70 kg (M) |
| Charter+ 4 Nexus 5 belt 800 Wh | Bosch Performance Line 75 Nm / 800 Wh | Nexus 5 + belt | 63 mm coil | 32.50 kg (L) |
Our take: 30.70 kg in L for 800 Wh, compared with 26.80 kg for the Trail 540 Wh: the difference is mostly felt when carrying the bike. For riding with no chain to grease, the standard-frame Nexus 5 800 Wh weighs 32.50 kg in L.

LVR sizing advice This standard frame comes from M to XL. Between 170 and 173 cm, M and L overlap: the M gives a more compact, nimble position, the L more reach for riding long distances. We check your inside leg before confirming, then adjust the stem.
