Who is it for?

This model combines three simple ideas: a Lowstep frame you step through effortlessly, a Gates Sidetrack belt that does away with chain and grease, and a 540 Wh PowerTube battery, 50 % more than on the Inbound+ 2 B LS. In short: at 21.40 kg in M, the Inbound+ 2 B 540 LS adds 180 Wh to the belt-drive Lowstep for 900 g more. It stays lighter than the R10 LS, but keeps a single speed: it's made for flat or gently rolling routes.

Along the canal, the silence of the belt is a real pleasure: you hear the water and the birds, not the mechanics. The low frame lets you get off and on at every photo stop without thinking about it. The Bosch assistance supports you up to 25 km/h, a pace that's more than enough for a leisurely ride.

The 50 mm E6 Hard-Case Lite tyres roll comfortably on the towpath and its hard-packed sections. The Kovee Tubeless Ready rims allow a tubeless setup, which we carry out in the workshop. The Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand holds the bike during breaks.

Our take: for long, leisurely rides on the flat, the B 540 LS offers 540 Wh for 21.40 kg in M, 1 kg less than the R10 LS. If you only need short rides, the B LS (20.50 kg) is enough.

Four sizes from S to XL, from 147 to 203 cm according to Trek. The low frame makes choosing easier; the main things to check are saddle height and reach. 70 mm stem in S and M, 110 mm in L and XL.
