THE Amflow PR Carbon is a carbon e-MTB for trail/all-mountain riding, designed for versatility and range. Unlike the PX Carbon, whose battery is integrated into the frame, the PR Carbon features a removable 800 Wh battery : a higher capacity, and above all the possibility of removing it to recharge separately or to carry a second battery on longer outings.
It is equipped with the engine Avinox M2, capable of delivering 125 Nm maximum torque, renowned for its particularly quiet operation (45 dBAThe approximately 2.9 kg carbon frame is equipped with FOX suspension. 160 mm of travel at the front and 150 mm at the rear, an electronic transmission SRAM S1000 Eagle Standard Transmission, and aluminum wheels in Mullet configuration 29"/27.5".
After trying it out at LVR Cycles, What impressed us most about the PR Carbon wasn't its raw power, but its side easy to live Discreet motor, electronic transmission requiring no adjustments, battery that can be removed from the bike in seconds. It's an e-MTB designed for frequent and long-distance riding, without complications.
These three values describe three different characteristics of the bicycle. It is important not to confuse them.
|
125 Nm Maximum engine torque Newton-meters indicate the available rotational force. This torque reserve helps with sustained climbs and acceleration. |
45 dBA Engine noise level Decibels indicate the noise level of the engine during operation. The lower the value, the quieter the engine. |
800 Wh Battery energy capacity Watt-hours indicate the amount of energy the battery can store. This value directly affects the available driving range. |

This is the most important point to know before ordering: across its entire mountain bike range, Amflow runs significantly smaller than most other brands. This is not unique to the PR Carbon nor an impression based on an isolated test: it is a characteristic of the entire range, including on the PR platform.
The most telling proof: Amflow does not offer a size S in mountain biking., simply because the M already plays this role. At the other end of the spectrum, we find a XXL — a size that exists almost nowhere else — precisely because the XL Amflow is actually equivalent to a standard L.
In practice, if you know your usual size with most brands, always count one size larger than Amflow :
| Your usual size (other brands) | Equivalent Amflow size |
|---|---|
| S | M |
| M | L |
| L | XL |
| XL | XXL |
The pilot size chart provided by Amflow (further down this page) remains your primary reference, along with your actual measurements. However, keep this difference in mind, especially if you fall between two sizes: in this case, We almost always recommend choosing the next size up..
If in doubt, contact LVR Cycles With your height, inseam, current bike and riding style, we can guide you precisely.

The PR Carbon targets the pilot who is looking for a versatile e-MTB for Trail and All-Mountain riding, without necessarily seeking the most extreme sensations on the descent.
Its philosophy differs from that of the PX Carbon: here, priority is given to theautonomy and ease of use. The removable 800 Wh battery allows for longer rides, charging without having to bring the bike close to a socket, or carrying a second battery when traveling.
It will be particularly suitable for the rider who rides regularly, sometimes on long outings, and who prioritizes ease of use over pure downhill performance.
THE engine torque is expressed in newton-meters, abbreviated Nm. It represents the rotational force that the motor can provide to pedaling.
The Avinox M2 develops 110 Nm nominal torque and can reach 125 Nm maximum torque. This reserve remains very comfortable for the majority of Trail and All-Mountain terrain, including sustained climbs.
What particularly distinguishes this engine is its noise level of 45 dBA, This is achieved through a set of compound planetary gears. In practice, the motor is remarkably quiet, which truly transforms the riding experience on long rides or in a group. The system offers 5 assistance modes, including an Auto mode which adjusts the assistance to the effort, and a Boost mode which can be maintained for up to 60 seconds before automatically returning to the previous mode.
The PR Carbon receives a battery Avinox 800 Wh, superior in capacity to that of the PX Carbon, with one major difference: it is removable, held in place by a locking system (Battery Lock) and sliding rail.
In practical terms, this means the battery can be removed from the bike in seconds, without tools, for charging inside rather than having to move the bike near a power outlet. This also makes it possible to consider carrying a second battery for longer rides or touring trips.
There is no single range that applies to all riders. With electric mountain biking, the number of kilometers can even be misleading: a short ride with a lot of elevation gain can consume more energy than a much longer ride on flat terrain.
Autonomy depends in particular on elevation gain, rider weight, assistance mode, rider power output, terrain, temperature, tire pressure, and Boost mode usage all affect performance..
For reference, Amflow advertises up to 158 km in Eco mode in its test protocol on a flat road with an 80 kg rider. This value, supported by the 800 Wh capacity, should be considered as a standardized measurement and not as a promise of range in mountain biking use.
At the house of LVR Cycles, Therefore, we prefer to base our calculations on your actual riding habits rather than promising a fixed number of kilometers. However, the option to carry a second battery remains a significant advantage for those who ride long distances.
The PR Carbon comes with a Avinox 168W / 4A charger. Since the battery is removable, it can be recharged directly inside the bike, without having to park it near an outlet. Amflow advertises approximately 4 hours 38 minutes to reach 80% And 6 hours 3 minutes for a full charge.
The Carbon Pro trim comes standard with the Avinox 508W/12A fast charger, which reduces these times to approximately 1 hour 36 minutes up to 80% And 2 hours 25 minutes for 100% — that's about three times faster. Feel free to contact us if charging speed is an important factor for you.
The PR Carbon has 160 mm of front suspension travel And 150 mm rear wheel travel.
The travel refers to the distance available for the suspension to absorb wheel movement. This combination comfortably covers challenging trail riding and all-mountain terrain, without targeting the most demanding enduro courses.
The PR Carbon receives a FOX AWL HD Sport fork with RAIL 2.0 cartridge and 160 mm of travel. At the rear, theFOX Float Rhythm shock absorber in 210 × 55 mm, with specific Amflow adjustment, works with the 150 mm of travel of the chassis.
The basic recommendation is approximately 15 to 20% sag at the fork And 25 to 30% at the rear shock absorber.
SAG refers to the amount of suspension travel when the rider is seated on the bike in the riding position. Adjusting the sag setting to the rider's weight is essential for optimal suspension performance.
This combination is called Mullet.
The front wheel of 29 inches promotes obstacle clearance and contributes to stability at sustained speeds. The rear wheel of 27.5 inches, being more compact, makes it easier to position the bike and makes riding more intuitive on a daily basis.
On the PR, this choice primarily serves versatility: a bike that is easy to handle on a wide variety of terrains, consistent with its Trail / All-Mountain vocation rather than pure Enduro.
Like the rest of the Amflow range, the PR has an adjustable geometry. Three parameters can be modified: 5 steering angle positions, , 2 bottom bracket height positions (349 or 353 mm) and 4 base length positions (from 440 to 452 mm).
Combining these settings theoretically allows us to obtain up to 40 geometry configurations. The original steering angle is 64.5°, with cups allowing a variation of -1°, -0.5°, 0°, +0.5° or +1°.
Advice LVR : As with the rest of the range, the original configuration already provides an excellent starting point for most riders. These adjustments are primarily aimed at those who want to fine-tune the bike's handling once they are familiar with their usual riding terrain.
The PR Carbon receives a SRAM S1000 Eagle 12-speed electronic transmission — the same as on the PX Carbon (standard finish), a first step in the ecosystem SRAM AXS Eagle Transmission, which remains above the X0 transmissions reserved for the Pro finishes of the Amflow range.
The report changes are controlled from the SRAM AXS Pod Controller, with no mechanical cable between the shifter and the derailleur. The system integrates the function SmoothShift, which allows you to change gears even when freewheeling or pedaling very lightly, thus reducing wear on the chain and cassette over time.
PR Carbon uses Tektro TKD173 four-piston hydraulic pump, with 203 mm Tektro Sensor discs at the front and rear.
This is a solid and well-proportioned setup for Trail/All-Mountain use. Riders looking for even more Enduro-style braking, with thicker rotors and a different lever feel, will likely prefer the... Magura Gustav Pro of the PX Carbon Pro.
PR Carbon receives Amflow XMA-30 aluminum wheels, with an internal width of 30 mm, SAPIM E-Light spokes and Tubeless Ready compatibility.
This association Maxxis Assegai / DHR II is a safe bet, recognized for its balance between grip and rolling, consistent with the versatile vocation of the PR.
The PR Carbon features a dedicated Amflow cockpit: 800mm aluminum enduro handlebar with 40mm rise, Amflow Mountain Bike Split stem, Enduro Grip 2 lock-on grips and Amflow Mountain Saddle saddle.
The Amflow telescopic seatpost allows the saddle to be lowered from the handlebars before a descent or technical section:
The bicycle is controlled from a 2-inch Avinox color OLED screen, paired with left/right wireless controls and the Avinox Ride app. The ecosystem notably offers offline navigation, integration with Find My (Apple Find My) and heart rate monitoring to adjust the assistance to the effort.
125 Nm corresponds to the maximum torque of the engine. 45 dBA corresponds to the noise level of the engine in operation. 800 Wh corresponds to the amount of energy that can be stored in the battery.
The PR Carbon's removable battery can be taken out for charging without having to move the bike near a power outlet, and allows you to carry a second battery on long rides. This is a real advantage for those who ride long distances or on touring trips.
The PR Carbon is primarily designed for Trail and All-Mountain riding. For more demanding Enduro use, with suspension and braking more suited to downhill riding, the PX Carbon Pro is a more appropriate choice.
Both bikes share the Amflow carbon e-MTB spirit and the same electronic drivetrain SRAM The S1000 Eagle transmission is standard, but they are based on different platforms. The PR Carbon is distinguished primarily by its removable 800 Wh battery, The PX Carbon, on the other hand, relies on an integrated 700 Wh battery. The choice depends mainly on your priority: range and ease of charging for the PR, a more integrated design for the PX.
After our trial at LVR Cycles, We tend to recommend the larger size when a rider is truly between two sizes. However, we advise you to confirm your choice based on your body type, your current bike, and your riding style.
The PR Carbon doesn't try to impress with extreme figures. Its 125 Nm of torque is comfortable without being excessive, and that's precisely what we liked about it during the test: well-balanced power, a particularly discreet motor, and a bike that doesn't require constant attention.
What convinced us the most was the removable battery. Being able to take it out of the bike to recharge it inside, or to carry a second battery on a long ride, really changes the relationship we have with autonomy on a daily basis.
Electronic transmission SRAM The standard S1000 is also a pleasant surprise on this trim level: no more cable to adjust, crisp gear changes, and the SmoothShift function which forgives slightly late gear changes.
We would recommend the PR Carbon to the rider who is looking for a versatile carbon e-MTB for riding often and far, without necessarily aiming for the sensations of a bike designed for pure Enduro.

The PR Carbon Pro is slightly heavier in each size (approximately 23.1 to 23.4 kg), due to its Avinox M2S motor and brakes. Magura Gustav Pro, heavier than the M2 and the Tektro of the standard model.
The stated weight is measured according to the Amflow protocol and may vary depending on size, configuration, accessories, pneumatic assembly and manufacturing tolerances.
A bike as complete as the PR Carbon deserves more than just a comparison of technical specifications.
At the house of LVR Cycles, We can assist you in choosing the size, but also in adjusting the suspension, geometry and removable battery to adapt the bike to your riding style and outings.
Our team also had the opportunity to try out the PR. This allows us to complement the manufacturer's data with real-world feedback.
