The SRAM AXS ecosystem links derailleur and dropper post wirelessly, with an app that shows battery status and lets you customise the controls. We handle pairing and the firmware update at handover, then at every service.
The derailleur and dropper batteries are identical and interchangeable: if you forget to charge one, you can swap one over to finish your ride. A simple habit to get into, which makes wireless very easy to live with day to day.

Our take: the 9.9 X0 AXS is the only carbon Fuel EX that is fully wireless, derailleur and dropper. The 9.8 XT Di2 offers the Shimano wireless derailleur with a cable-actuated dropper.

LVR sizing advice If you are between two sizes, the smaller favours handling on technical trails, the larger composure when the terrain speeds up. The Reverb AXS goes from 150 mm in S to 200 mm from L, and size S uses a 27.5-inch rear wheel.
