Easy precision adjustment

On the SR Allroad, the Ergon brand has marked the biomechanical reference line (BMR line) on the saddle surface. The BMR line describes the point where the saddle is exactly 75mm wide. The contact point of the seat bones is aligned with this BMR line. BMR is an important reference point for correct adjustment of saddle height, saddle fore/aft and saddle angle. Additionally, in the Road Expert Fitting Box, the BMR line is an important reference point as the most precise measuring point for the perfect saddle adjustment.

Men's health

The Ergon brand development team has conducted intensive research on men's health. They discovered that the main cause of cycling complaints comes from the saddle. Often, men feel too much pressure on their perineal area, leading to pain, discomfort, numbness, and potentially more serious health problems. The SR Allroad Men saddle relieves this pressure with a very specific relief channel as well as better surface distribution under the bony structures. Thanks to MRT, CT analysis, numerous prototypes and riding tests, the saddle has been ergonomically adjusted to the specific anatomy and needs of men.

More freedom of movement

Compared to women, the male pelvis tends to be less flexible. This means that men sit more upright in the saddle and distribute their weight more across their seat bones. Therefore, the transition zone between the rear of the saddle and the nose of the saddle can be kept narrow (Y-shape). This gives more legroom for pedaling.

Pelvic differences between men and women

Unlike the female anatomy, the male sit bones are narrower and where the two sides of the pelvis meet in the front is much higher. This results in a greater pressure distribution over the male sit bones compared to a wider area of the sit bones and pubic bones in women. The Ergon brand took this significant difference between male and female anatomy into account when developing the saddle.
